McLaren Senna Makes North America Debut at E3

The McLaren Senna had its North American debut at E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo), thanks to its starring role on the cover of "Forza Horizon 4." This comes after the McLaren P1TM made its debut at E3 2013 because of its appearance on the cover of "Forza Motorsport 5."“We are delighted to be working so closely with Microsoft on their Forza racing franchise," says Jolyon Nash, Executive Director of Global Sales & Marketing for McLaren Automotive."Videogames are now so realistic and our relationship with Forza has been a powerful tool both to grow brand awareness and show what makes McLaren cars so special.”Most of the world will not get a chance to sit behind the wheel of a Senna in real-life and take it for a spin, but thanks to Forza Horizon 4 you can do it virtually. This means you'll "virtually" drive the 789 bhp supercar around the British setting of the video game, racing it in various biomes, weather conditions and terrains. Heck, you could take it off-road if you wanted to, though you shouldn't expect to hold any traction in such an instance."Forza Horizon 4" will be released on October 2, 2018 for the Xbox One and Windows PC.Pre-Order Now

McLaren Puts The Senna On A Roof

If you have been behaving this year, you might hear a commotion on your rooftop come Christmas time. But our wish is not for Santa, we want Senna Claus. McLaren has a tradition of placing their creations above all others- literally. If you want everyone to take notice of the 720S, put it on the roof. Because the McLaren Senna only weighs 2,641 lbs, much less than many commercial A/C units. So they didn't need heavy equipment to get it in place. Shared on Instagram and their official Facebook page, it also mentions it is the most expensive car they have ever lifted. I understand their logic, I also shop for cars in unique situations, but my purchases are on blocks instead of hotels. 2018 McLaren Senna Specs, Price, Photos & Review If you are in the market for something unique, the Senna arrives with 789 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. It reflects Ayrton Senna's dedication to performance and innovation, which allowed him to win 3 Drivers' Championships and four consecutive World Constructors' Championships, oh and 35 Grand Prix races for Team McLaren. If you want to experience a more sensible version, our dealers have great incentives on the McLaren 720S, on which the Senna is based. McLaren Teases More of Mystery Model

McLaren has, again, teased a new model that looks to be a 570S variant. The new tease comes with an image, as well as some additional information. The new model will be unveiled online on June 28 and in July at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. As for the new image, we see a pair of exhaust pipes that are exiting out of the top and rear of the engine bay. We've yet to see a modern McLaren with this type of exhaust, as most have exhaust exiting directly out of the rear. One car you may be familiar with that has a similar exhaust setup is the Porsche 918 Spyder, which has exhaust exiting behind the driver and passenger seats.McLaren Teases a New SupercarThis new model will have increased power, a lighter weight, better aerodynamics, and "enhanced driver engagement." Production of the car will also be very limited.McLaren will be taking the mystery car for a drive up the famous Goodwood Hill Climb on July 12. After it's unveiling, McLaren will have unveiled five models under the Track22 business plan.

McLaren Teases a New Supercar

McLaren Automotive is currently in the process of teasing a new supercar. The tagline for this tease campaign is: "The edge is calling." But...what in the world is it going to be?Well, it's too early to tell what the car will exactly be, but in a video that teases the car, we get a glimpse of the car's taillight. From this shot alone we can tell that it will more than likely be a 570S variant. Even though the shot is sort, there are a number of things I noticed. First of all, the tailpipe is missing. In a standard 570S, the tailpipe sits on the outer edge of the rear, right above the rear diffuser. I expect to see the exhaust centrally located like the 675LT or 720S. Also, there's a new air vent that's been added right behind the rear wheel. This points to more aero components that will be found across the body of the car.McLaren Reveals Gulf Livery MSO 675LT of your DreamsWe're more than likely looking at a more aggressive and "super" take on the 570S. I'd compare it to the Huracan upgrading to the Huracan Performante. To finish off the tease, McLaren has this to say: "Brace yourself for that moment. When it’s just you. The car. Raw and uncompromised. Calling you. Total focus. Pure adrenaline. This is the moment to push yourself. To the very edge."What if it's called the 570S Edge? What are your thoughts? Full-Size Lego McLaren 720S Weighs More than Real Car

The world has been building with LEGO bricks for decades, creating incredible sculptures that range from tiny cars to the massive 1:1 scale model of a McLaren 720S. Yes, McLaren took 280,000+ individual LEGO bricks and created a replica supercar that's true to size. What's more, they had the help of museum visitors who placed the final orange bricks on the car during its debut at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles over the past weekend. Now that each brick has been placed, the sculpture weighs in 3,200 lbs. Compare that the weight of the real-like McLaren 720S (2,828 lbs) and you have a decent amount of difference. Just imagine if those bricks were made of carbon fiber! It should be mentioned that the bricks were placed around a steel frame, which did add some weight.McLaren Reveals Gulf Livery MSO 675LT of your DreamsTo create this masterpiece, it took a team of six different LEGO professional builders-- yes, they exist and, yes, I want that job-- over 2,000 hours to build the replica car. What's interesting is that it takes a real-life 720S only 12 working days to be created. The Peterson Automotive Museum will be displaying the LEGO McLaren 720S until August 19th on their second floor. Guests are also invited to come and customize their own mini LEGO Speed Champions McLaren 720S while visiting. And if you haven't been, it's definitely worth a visit!McLaren 650S for Sale

McLaren Reveals Gulf Livery MSO 675LT of your Dreams

It has been almost two decades since the 1997 McLaren F1 GTR was fielded by Gulf-Davidoff. Wearing the iconic Gulf colors, it was burned into the memories of many McLaren fans. One of them has now worked hard to afford the car of his dreams. So he commissioned McLaren Special Operations to recreate that car on a new 675LT. Starting with the cockpit, they used colors and materials found on the predecessor. Then it took a few days in a CNC mill to create vintage looking 20 spoke wheels. Why You Should Buy A McLaren 720SThe customer received full endorsement from Gulf Oil, but that was just the beginning. Many components inside and out were built to his specifications. As such, MSO spent over 1,000 hours on this car. We don't have an idea of their labor rate, but it is not inexpensive.DragTimes: McLaren 720S vs Ferrari 488GTBAnsar Ali is the director of MSO, and he had this to say: "Creating a car like this unique McLaren 675LT, crafted to individual customer specification, is exactly the type of demanding commission that MSO Bespoke was formed to embrace. Transforming the existing car from its original single colour paintwork to a tribute to the McLaren F1 GTR ‘Longtail’ in Gulf Racing livery was incredibly demanding in its own right, but was only part of the brief; we also replaced numerous standard 675LT components with MSO parts and further personalised the car to clearly identify it with its owner, a service that an increasing number of MSO customers request.”Our McLaren dealers have a hotline to MSO, so if you dream it, they can build it. McLaren Senna in Action

Bruno Senna Drives the McLaren Senna

Many of us will never have an opportunity to see the new McLaren Senna in person, but we are thankful that their video crew allows us to see it in action. The car speaks for itself as a fitting tribute to the best racer in modern history. Bruno Senna learned a thing or two watching his uncle Ayrton dominate the toughest tracks in Formula 1. He is also a talented driver in his own right, so there is no other logical person to show just how capable the new McLaren Supercar really is. 2018 McLaren Senna Specs, Price, Photos & Review A few things we didn't know is that it has solid motor mounts. At these power and performance levels, you don't want the engine block to move a millimeter. Plus, who wouldn't want to feel and hear that beast 24/7. It is also the first time we have seen the massive rear spoiler in airbrake mode. Hitting the left pedal has to be rewarding given that much stopping power. Tell us if you would choose this or the 720S in the comments below, and stay with us for all your McLaren updates. Unveiled in Beijing at the Auto China 2018 show, these new cars are meant to demonstrate a specific philosophy: "Designed in China, made in the UK."Each of the cars within the Cabbeen Collection come finished in MSO Bespoke Obsidian Black paint. Contrasting against this dark paint is a hand-painted dragon that was created out of Gloss Speedline Gold paint on each door panel. One other exterior modification is the addition of new 15-spoke GT wheels that sit in front of Gloss Speedline Gold brake calipers.Inside, Mr. Cabbeen had dragons embroidered in gold on the Alcantara Center Front Tunnel and Rear Luggage Deck.
