McLaren Unveils New 60th Anniversary Options For Supercar...

The new upgrades range from unique exterior paints to commemorative interior details, available on the GT, Artura, and the all-new 750S. If you're a fan of McLaren supercars and love to indulge in exclusivity, then the British automaker has some exciting news for you. To continue their 60th-anniversary celebrations, McLaren has introduced an array of new options available on their series-production road cars including the GT, Artura, and the brand-new 750S. The 60th Anniversary package is designed to pay tribute to McLaren’s iconic Triple Crown achievement, a milestone in motorsport history that involves wins in three prestigious races: the Indianapolis 500, the Monaco Grand Prix, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Imagine rolling down the road in a McLaren featuring exterior paint colors inspired by the cars that claimed the Triple Crown. You can choose from Indy Orange, a bright hue that evokes the 1974 Indy 500 winning M16D; Monaco White, a tribute to the 1984 Monaco Grand Prix-winning MP4/2; or Le Mans Grey, a metallic shade honoring the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning F1 GTR. These paints can be combined with ‘Triple Crown Stripes,’ available exclusively for the 750S. Only 60 such models will be produced, each featuring the years of McLaren's Triple Crown victories along with intricate artwork. But the customization doesn't stop there. The 60th Anniversary package offers new brake caliper colors – Indy Blue and Le Mans Gold – mirroring those found on the victorious M16D and F1 GTR, respectively. Available on the GT, Artura, and 750S, these new colors add a touch of nostalgia and uniqueness to your supercar. In terms of interior embellishments, McLaren has got you covered too. An Indy Orange steering wheel center line marker is available for cars specified with a carbon fiber steering wheel. This can be coupled with extended carbon fiber painted gearshift paddles, adorned with stripes in the McLaren Triple Crown colors. And to wrap it all up, each car ordered with any 60th Anniversary options will feature a brushed aluminum dedication plaque, complete with a 60th Anniversary logo in McLaren Orange. For those who opt for the 750S with Triple Crown Stripes, the plaque will have an exclusive “1 of 60” marking, highlighting the car's rarity. The introduction of these 60th-anniversary options not only underscores McLaren's rich heritage but also offers a high level of personalization for the discerning supercar owner. If you're looking to add a piece of history to your garage, these options are available to order for a year starting from November 2023. View All McLarens For Sale Image Source: McLaren

McLaren Partners With Monroe For Intelligent Suspension S...

This partnership promises an unparalleled driving experience in McLaren's supercars. British luxury supercar and hypercar manufacturer McLaren Automotive recently partnered with Tenneco to name Monroe the Official Intelligent Suspension Supplier for its road car lineup. This partnership represents a pivotal move that highlights the role of cutting-edge technology in shaping the future of high-performance cars. Tenneco, through its Monroe Intelligent Suspension brand, will supply McLaren with top-of-the-line electronic suspension systems. These systems are far from run-of-the-mill—they're designed to offer McLaren's discerning clientele the sort of precise, exhilarating driving experience they've come to expect. Monroe’s Intelligent Suspension CVSA2 technology already features in models like the McLaren 540C, 570GT, 570S, and 600LT, among others. The system's adaptability, relying on real-time data points like steering angle and vehicle speed, ensures a ride that is equally high-performance, comfortable, and safe. It's worth noting that this partnership isn't the beginning of McLaren and Monroe's relationship. Rather, it builds on a solid, decade-long history between McLaren and Monroe. The companies first collaborated in 2011 when they introduced the Kinetic® suspension system on McLaren’s first supercar since the F1, the MP4-12C. Over the years, they've consistently pushed the boundaries of what's possible with automotive suspension technology. The advanced Monroe Intelligent Suspension CVSA2/Kinetic system takes things up a notch. This system brings together adaptive damper control with a unique lightweight roll-control hydraulic system. The integrated system offers a blend of road isolation, damping, and roll control that is hard to beat, promising enhanced comfort and handling for top-notch driving performance. If you're a fan of models like the MP4-12C, 650S, 675LT, or even the new 750S, you'll be pleased to know that this cutting-edge technology already features in these supercars. In addition, the crème de la crème Ultimate Series of McLaren models like the P1, P1 GTR, Senna, and Speedtail come equipped with this technology, and in the future with a new partnership, it's only going to get better. In the words of Romain Nollet, Vice President and General Manager of Monroe Ride Solutions at Tenneco, this collaboration will "drive what’s next in suspension technology." Similarly, Charles Sanderson, the Chief Technical Officer at McLaren Automotive, believes that the Intelligent Suspension technologies from Monroe play a significant role in maintaining McLaren’s global benchmark status for driving precision and performance. By focusing on adaptive, real-time technologies that enhance both comfort and performance, McLaren and Monroe are setting a new standard for what it means to be a leader in the automotive world. McLaren To Unveil Something New At Velocity Invitational

McLaren is set to celebrate its rich history and also unveil something new at Velocity Invitational. McLaren, the quintessential name in the supercar world, is commemorating its 60th anniversary with a visual feast and racing spectacle. Scheduled for November 10-12, the celebration will take place at the Velocity Invitational held at Sonoma Raceway in Northern California. This sets the stage for what promises to be an exhilarating closure to a year of milestones, each more thrilling than the last, in honor of the brand's six decades of high-octane success. The company, which was established in England by Bruce McLaren on September 2nd, 1963, established its presence in the Americas as a renowned performance and racing powerhouse. It was in 2011 that McLaren Automotive sold its first car in the region. For the Velocity Invitational event, McLaren is pulling out all the stops, bringing together a stunning line-up of their most iconic vehicles. Get ready to see the McLaren P1™, Senna, Elva, and a variety of high-performance LT models. Even the very first McLaren customer race car, the M1A Elva—famed for being driven by none other than Elvis Presley in the 1966 movie Spinout—will make a guest appearance. But it's not just road cars that are hogging the limelight. McLaren Racing is showcasing an extraordinary collection of heritage race cars. Many of these speed machines, such as Niki Lauda’s 1984 World Championship-winning MP4/2A-1 and Lewis Hamilton’s 2008 Championship MP4/23A-05, are not frequently displayed in North America. The event is shaping up to be a paradise for motorsport enthusiasts, capturing McLaren's incredible journey from its early days to its recent Formula 1 achievements. Amplifying the excitement will be the unveiling of a brand new McLaren supercar. Although details are being closely guarded, the company has promised a reveal that will involve superstar drivers and a car that promises to leave fans awestruck. This adds a layer of anticipation to the event, which already offers a jam-packed schedule with track appearances by current McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris and McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown, among others. Besides the cars and the driving legends, the real star of the event is McLaren's indomitable spirit of innovation and performance. As Nicolas Brown, President of McLaren, The Americas, puts it, "Velocity Invitational will give McLaren fans and racing enthusiasts the chance to get close to a host of road and racing cars that encapsulate just what this iconic brand is all about." There's no doubt that Bruce McLaren would be proud to see how far his dream has traveled. Whether it’s World Championship-winning Formula 1 cars, Can Am and Indy winners, or high-performance road cars, McLaren’s 60th-anniversary celebration at Velocity Invitational is set to be a monumental tribute to the brand's legacy of speed and innovation. McLaren Intends To Race In The 2024 World Endurance Champ...

The historic manufacturer joins United Autosports in a hopeful return to Le Mans. In a groundbreaking announcement, McLaren Automotive confirmed its intentions to take on the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with the 720S GT3 EVO, starting from the 2024 season. This exhilarating move will see McLaren partnering with the esteemed United Autosports team, providing two 720S GT3 EVO cars for them in the new LMGT3 class. McLaren, a name that evokes pure racing passion and has deep roots in motorsport, recently celebrated its 60th anniversary. Their legacy dates back to the very inception of their customer racing ventures, which kicked off with the McLaren M1 sports racing car, crafted in alliance with Elva Sportscars. Fast forward to the 1990s, and the company made headlines with the legendary F1 GTR. Notably, this same car gifted McLaren an unforgettable victory at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans, adding the first Triple Crown achievement to McLaren's already impressive trophy cabinet. Moreover, in 1997, a GTC Competition F1 GTR boasting a Longtail specification breezed through the GT1 class at Le Mans, leaving its closest manufacturer competitor a staggering 29 laps behind. Such dominance in motorsport isn't a chance occurrence but rather an enduring testament to McLaren's prowess in automotive engineering and racing acumen. United Autosports, McLaren's partner in this endeavor has a journey that is equally commendable. Since its inception in 2010, this Yorkshire-based team has stamped its mark as a force to be reckoned with in sportscar and GT racing. Their affiliation with McLaren Motorsport isn't new either. They were among the first squads to race the inaugural 12C GT3 race car. Through the years, United Autosports has bagged a slew of championships, further solidifying its status in the racing domain. The team's alumni roster boasts names like Fernando Alonso, Lando Norris, and Juan Pablo Montoya – all legends in their own right. Michael Leiters, CEO of McLaren Automotive, expressed the company's enthusiasm and faith in this new chapter. He mentioned that motorsport is, and always will be, an integral component of McLaren's vision for the future. They view the WEC as the perfect platform to showcase the unparalleled performance of their vehicles, especially the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In United Autosports, McLaren has a partner who not only mirrors their fervor for endurance GT racing but also embodies the McLaren brand's values. United Autosports has already informed the Automobile Club de l’Ouest about their intent to race two McLaren 720S GT3 EVOs in the 2024 WEC. The racing world now waits with bated breath, eager to witness McLaren lock horns with its rivals once again. View All McLarens For Sale

By Tyler Rampersaud –  September 28, 2023

This New Custom Guitar Is Inspired By The McLaren Speedtail

Discover how Dean Gordon Guitars crafted a one-of-a-kind guitar inspired by McLaren's Speedtail XP2 prototype. When the worlds of hypercars and bespoke musical instruments collide, the result is nothing short of extraordinary. Take the McLaren Speedtail, a pinnacle of automotive engineering, for instance. Its ‘XP2’ prototype not only served as a key benchmark in the brand's history, but it also inspired Dean Gordon, a Miami-based luthier, to craft a custom guitar showcased at the 2023 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) show. The McLaren Speedtail burst onto the scene in 2018 as McLaren's first Hyper-GT. With its perfect blend of groundbreaking technologies and breathtaking aesthetics, it’s a marvel in the automotive world. Its XP2 prototype underwent intense validation tests, hitting a top speed of 250 mph over 30 times at the Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds’ space shuttle landing runway. The vehicle's exterior is finished in Saragon Quartz, a champagne hue that is as sophisticated as it is elegant. Step inside, and you're greeted by an Oxblood Red cabin furnished with full aniline leather and aniline nubuck, enhanced by machined aluminum trim and visual carbon fiber elements. Gordon selected his Virtus guitar model to pay homage to the Speedtail's design ethos. This headless guitar boasts an ergonomic and lightweight body crafted from old stock lightweight alder wood. The neck is master-grade flamed maple, and its lower horn is carved from aircraft-grade aluminum. The fretboard is crafted in Luxurious ebony wood. The Virtus guitar doesn’t just mimic the Speedtail’s appearance; it embodies its spirit. For instance, the guitar features a carbon fiber backplate, a hand-stitched leather lower horn cover, and interior wiring cavities decked in the XP2's signature Oxblood Red leather. But the attention to detail doesn't end there. The guitar’s Saragon Quartz-inspired finish pairs seamlessly with a black satin neck, accented by a carbon fiber laminate on the back of the headstock. Even the pickups bear a distinct resemblance to the Speedtail’s engine cover and rear details, thanks to laser etching. Additional red accents further tie the guitar to the XP2's exquisite interior. Limited to just 106 units, the Speedtail is McLaren's fastest car to date. With a top speed of 250 mph and unparalleled aerodynamic efficiency, it follows McLaren's guiding philosophy: functional design that tells a visual story. Just like the Speedtail, the Virtus guitar melds form and function, boasting a design inspired by the teardrop shape of the car, optimized for aerodynamic performance. Dean Gordon sums it up best: “McLaren being synonymous with cutting-edge design and pushing boundaries made it a no-brainer choice for inspiration for my 'Automotive' inspired line of guitars." The Speedtail was, indeed, the perfect muse, and this collaboration stands as a testament to the boundless possibilities that arise when luxury cars and custom musical craftsmanship intersect.
