McLaren Reveals Its New 2024 Formula 1 Car Livery

McLaren’s new Formula 1 car is revealed and ready to race. McLaren is a manufacturer that, throughout its 60-year history, has been passionate about and dedicated to racing, whether that mean through making supercars that are light, agile, powerful, and built to take on the track, or by engaging in racing efforts through teams that have gone on to define success and excellence in the motorsport world. One of McLaren’s most notable contributions to the racing world is its Formula 1 team, and with the 2024 season on the horizon, the new livery of McLaren’s F1 car for the year has been revealed. Combining black with McLaren’s iconic signature color: Papaya Orange, it sports a classic McLaren look with futuristic details that make the race car look like it’s going at full speed even when it’s standing still. With Google Chrome branding present on the car, one of the most interesting features of the new livery is a special color applied to the aero discs on the wheels: which are split into quarters of red, green, blue, and yellow, which are Google’s signature colors. McLaren Replaces The GT With The New 2024 GTS

McLaren’s newest supercar evolves an elegant formula. The introduction of the McLaren GT saw the racing-bred manufacturer introduce a take on its supercars that combined McLaren’s driver’s car ethos, impressive performance, and also a sense of luxury, understated style, and everyday usability. The supercar offered a McLaren driving experience with the added bonus of a plush interior and even space for golf clubs. However, the McLaren GT has now been replaced, and the new 2024 McLaren GTS has taken its place. The brief is the same as the GT’s: create a supercar with both McLaren’s incredible driving dynamics and performance and everyday luxury and comfort. However, the GTS features a few improvements upon the GT’s formula, especially in the performance department. It’s more powerful by 14 horsepower, coming in at 626 horsepower, and it’s also lighter by 22 pounds at 3,351, giving it what McLaren says is a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 414 horsepower per ton. When your foot is to the floor, that means you’ll get from 0-60 in a scant 3.1 seconds, which is especially impressive for a car that fits a set of golf clubs in the back. McLaren’s signature agile character is also present, thanks to intelligent adaptive suspension and standard carbon ceramic brakes, which contribute on both the luxury and performance fronts. When it comes to the GTS’s luxury and style, McLaren ensured that the elegant silhouette of the GT remained relatively unchanged, with a few tweaks to give the new supercar a refreshed look. In addition, a new Lava Grey color option, unique “Turbine” wheel design, and available Softgrain Aniline Leather upholstery with a double-piping pattern and contrast stitching show that when it comes to the creature comfort factor of the new GTS, McLaren made sure to sweat the details. The McLaren GT showed off a slightly softer side to McLaren, combining everyday luxury and comfort with the brand’s irresistible signature driving thrill, and the new 2024 McLaren GTS, which is available to order now with delivery in 2024, aims to do the same, but better. It's safe to say that we may have found McLaren F1's biggest fan. As Formula 1 racing continues its global takeover, captivating a whole new audience, passionate race fans show support for their favorite teams and drivers throughout the season. While most devoted fans invest in a team hat or t-shirt to wear on race day, one McLaren F1 fan decided to take their love for the renowned race team this holiday season with a special home decoration. Instead of flying a McLaren F1 Team flag on the property, the Newport Beach homeowner was able to pull some strings and have Lando Norris' McLaren MCL60 race car craned into the front yard. McLaren took to its Instagram to share a few photos and videos, taken by @z3photos and @gt3sonly, of how the multi-million dollar F1 race car was strategically maneuvered from the alley to the lawn. The McLaren MCL60 quckly went from a #6 ranking with 22 starts this season to the main attraction of a holiday home decoration, making it the ultimate F1 house this Christmas. Proudly displayed next to the sidewalk, overlooking the breathtaking gold coast, bystanders are able to catch a glimpse at Lando Norris' four-wheel office in quite the unfamiliar territory. With McLaren F1 Team's MCL60 racecar now proudly showcased as a holiday ornament, you have to wonder who is trying to call Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 to get Sir Lewis Hamilton's W14 E Performance race car shipped to their home. McLaren Debuts A Bespoke 3-7-59 Racing Livery By MSO For ...

McLaren Automotive has taken bespoke customization to exceptional levels with the launch of the motorsport-inspired 3-7-59 racing livery. Crafted by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), this complex design decorates a special McLaren 750S supercar, revealed by a trio of iconic McLaren drivers. The unveiling took place at the Velocity Invitational at Sonoma Raceway, marking one of the most striking moments in McLaren's 60th-anniversary celebrations. The 3-7-59 Theme, a nod to McLaren's 'Triple Crown' motorsport victories, required over 1200 hours of expert painting by MSO's technicians. This livery is a visual sensation and a storytelling canvas that features more than 20 colors to create its stunning exterior. The six customer cars, all either a 750S coupe or Spider, sold out immediately, each one a unique variation of this detailed theme. The name celebrates the race numbers of the victorious McLarens: '3' from the 1974 Indy 500, '7' from the 1984 Monaco Grand Prix, and '59' from the 1995 Le Mans. The livery is a vibrant collage of these race cars, detailed with illustrations of the vehicles and the races they conquered. The 3-7-59 is a masterclass in automotive painting, featuring a multi-colored key fob, a 'shattered' front livery inspired by the McLaren MP4/2, and sides that pay homage to the Le Mans-winning F1 GTR. Hidden details, including Easter eggs and the evolving McLaren logo, enrich the narrative woven into the car's design. MSO's innovation extends to the supercar's functional components, with a checkered flag effect blending the orange of the Indy 500 winner with the F1 GTR's grey scheme, and a blue 'splash' on the opposite side achieved through a novel vector process. The 750S' Satin Black Vortex alloy wheels are matched with brake calipers in colors referencing the Triple Crown victories. Silver leaf exterior detailing and interior features like the Triple Crown logo, graphite Alcantara seat etchings, and hand-painted shift paddles, further honor McLaren's successful racing heritage. A dedication plaque, complete with a piece of McLaren F1 carbon fiber bodywork, seals its status as a mobile tribute to the brand's illustrious racing success. The new upgrades range from unique exterior paints to commemorative interior details, available on the GT, Artura, and the all-new 750S. If you're a fan of McLaren supercars and love to indulge in exclusivity, then the British automaker has some exciting news for you. To continue their 60th-anniversary celebrations, McLaren has introduced an array of new options available on their series-production road cars including the GT, Artura, and the brand-new 750S. The 60th Anniversary package is designed to pay tribute to McLaren’s iconic Triple Crown achievement, a milestone in motorsport history that involves wins in three prestigious races: the Indianapolis 500, the Monaco Grand Prix, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Imagine rolling down the road in a McLaren featuring exterior paint colors inspired by the cars that claimed the Triple Crown. You can choose from Indy Orange, a bright hue that evokes the 1974 Indy 500 winning M16D; Monaco White, a tribute to the 1984 Monaco Grand Prix-winning MP4/2; or Le Mans Grey, a metallic shade honoring the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning F1 GTR. These paints can be combined with ‘Triple Crown Stripes,’ available exclusively for the 750S. Only 60 such models will be produced, each featuring the years of McLaren's Triple Crown victories along with intricate artwork. But the customization doesn't stop there. The 60th Anniversary package offers new brake caliper colors – Indy Blue and Le Mans Gold – mirroring those found on the victorious M16D and F1 GTR, respectively. Available on the GT, Artura, and 750S, these new colors add a touch of nostalgia and uniqueness to your supercar. In terms of interior embellishments, McLaren has got you covered too. An Indy Orange steering wheel center line marker is available for cars specified with a carbon fiber steering wheel. This can be coupled with extended carbon fiber painted gearshift paddles, adorned with stripes in the McLaren Triple Crown colors. And to wrap it all up, each car ordered with any 60th Anniversary options will feature a brushed aluminum dedication plaque, complete with a 60th Anniversary logo in McLaren Orange. For those who opt for the 750S with Triple Crown Stripes, the plaque will have an exclusive “1 of 60” marking, highlighting the car's rarity. The introduction of these 60th-anniversary options not only underscores McLaren's rich heritage but also offers a high level of personalization for the discerning supercar owner. If you're looking to add a piece of history to your garage, these options are available to order for a year starting from November 2023. View All McLarens For Sale Image Source: McLaren

British luxury supercar and hypercar manufacturer McLaren Automotive recently partnered with Tenneco to name Monroe the Official Intelligent Suspension Supplier for its road car lineup. This partnership represents a pivotal move that highlights the role of cutting-edge technology in shaping the future of high-performance cars. Tenneco, through its Monroe Intelligent Suspension brand, will supply McLaren with top-of-the-line electronic suspension systems. These systems are far from run-of-the-mill—they're designed to offer McLaren's discerning clientele the sort of precise, exhilarating driving experience they've come to expect. Monroe’s Intelligent Suspension CVSA2 technology already features in models like the McLaren 540C, 570GT, 570S, and 600LT, among others. The system's adaptability, relying on real-time data points like steering angle and vehicle speed, ensures a ride that is equally high-performance, comfortable, and safe. It's worth noting that this partnership isn't the beginning of McLaren and Monroe's relationship. Rather, it builds on a solid, decade-long history between McLaren and Monroe. The companies first collaborated in 2011 when they introduced the Kinetic® suspension system on McLaren’s first supercar since the F1, the MP4-12C. Over the years, they've consistently pushed the boundaries of what's possible with automotive suspension technology. The advanced Monroe Intelligent Suspension CVSA2/Kinetic system takes things up a notch. This system brings together adaptive damper control with a unique lightweight roll-control hydraulic system. The integrated system offers a blend of road isolation, damping, and roll control that is hard to beat, promising enhanced comfort and handling for top-notch driving performance. If you're a fan of models like the MP4-12C, 650S, 675LT, or even the new 750S, you'll be pleased to know that this cutting-edge technology already features in these supercars. In addition, the crème de la crème Ultimate Series of McLaren models like the P1, P1 GTR, Senna, and Speedtail come equipped with this technology, and in the future with a new partnership, it's only going to get better. In the words of Romain Nollet, Vice President and General Manager of Monroe Ride Solutions at Tenneco, this collaboration will "drive what’s next in suspension technology." Similarly, Charles Sanderson, the Chief Technical Officer at McLaren Automotive, believes that the Intelligent Suspension technologies from Monroe play a significant role in maintaining McLaren’s global benchmark status for driving precision and performance. By focusing on adaptive, real-time technologies that enhance both comfort and performance, McLaren and Monroe are setting a new standard for what it means to be a leader in the automotive world.
