McLaren Debuts McL 6GT At Wynn Concours

With over 60 years of history, McLaren is in the midst of a transformation as a supercar manufacturer. Looking towards its founder, Bruce McLaren, and the brand’s ‘60s roots, McLaren revealed new branding, and at Monterey Car Week, the brand privately unveiled a new concept: the McL 6GT. It’s inspired by the original dream that Bruce McLaren had of a roadgoing McLaren supercar, and it features a V8 engine sending power to the rear wheels, as well as a manual transmission for the first time in a McLaren since the legendary F1. The McL 6GT concept previews a production version that will arrive in 2028, and after its private unveiling during Car Week, the McL 6GT made its global public debut at one of the most prestigious and celebrated annual automotive events: the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas. There, some of the world's most prestigious and highly exclusive automotive brands and cars were present, alongside classics in a concours competition, an auction of some of the world's most desirable vehicles, and more. With an elegant design crafted in carbon fiber that combines modern principles with classic-inspired details and its purist-focused ethos, the McL 6GT is the harbinger of a bold new era for McLaren, as the brand says that the concept and its upcoming production version make room for a new, exclusive group of McLarens beyond the brand’s core supercar lineup and its upcoming SUV. Showcased to the public for the first time with the luxury of Wynn Las Vegas as its surroundings, the new McLaren McL 6GT gets a bold introduction to the automotive world.
