Hennessey 765LT vs Shmee's Shelby GT500

Just when you thought the world was getting back to normal, a Texas Tuner in an English supercar lined up against an Englishman in a Mustang. In an epic transatlantic battle, let's watch a Hennessey McLaren 765LT race Shmee's Shelby GT500. Our friend Tim Burton is on an epic tour of the U.S. and collaborating with the most popular automotive channels. His new GT500 looks amazing, but it's 1,220 lbs heavier than the McLaren. Both cars have boosted V8 power and dual-clutch transmissions, and that's where the similarities end. Hennessey is able to unlock 1,000 horsepower from any 765LT, and their Mustang mods are legendary. Why You Should Buy a McLaren Artura

Aside from great looks and a catchy name, allow us to explain why you should buy a McLaren Artura. Staying ahead of the world in street-legal technology, we have to applaud the brand for offering every technical detail of their new supercar. We now live in an age where hybrid technology is very potent. I have driven the McLaren P1, LaFerrari, and the Porsche 918; and they simply make more power than you could ever use on the street. That's why this new V6 makes so much sense. Separating the cylinder heads by 120 degrees essentially flattens the engine, keeping weight very low in the chassis. It also a six cylinders at 120 degree also makes it perfectly balanced. The latest in battery technology offers nearly 20 miles of electric cruising, and 50 mpg. More than just offering an amazing car, it is backed by a 10 year body warranty, 6 year battery, and 5 years of roadside. The cherry on top is that the most popular options are no-cost. The Practicality Pack combines front lift, power heated mirrors, park assist, and soft close. Android and CarPlay are also standard, all for $225,000. Competitors are hard at work trying to get their six-cylinder supercars to make sense, but they won't be nearly this affordable. Tell us what you think of the Artura in the comments below. McLaren Scientist Awarded 'Young Woman Engineer of the Year'

Ella Podmore spends her days pushing the boundaries of composites. Since 2016 she has been critical to the successes of the Elva, 765LT and the Artura, and this McLaren scientist has been awarded 'Young Woman Engineer of the Year' by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Her ongoing quest to make their cars lighter and stronger is also seen on the small scale, as she can be seen miniaturizing the Senna GTR for Lego. The IET judges were impressed by her dedication, charisma, and personality as it inspires more women to follow in her footsteps. “Huge congratulations to Ella from myself and everyone at McLaren. Ella’s passion for her work clearly shone through to the IET and the judges and it makes her such an inspiring ambassador for others who want to follow in her footsteps. “For a company like ours, diversity is vital to maintain and boost the innovation culture which helps us to challenge ourselves and come up with new solutions and technologies to enable and deliver the exciting products that our customers want.”Mandeep Dhatt, Executive Director of HR, McLaren Automotive Used McLaren For Sale Image (C) McLaren Automotive

Hennessey 765LT Arrives With 1,000 Horsepower

Relentless testing is how they offer such potent cars, and it also allows the Hennessey 765LT to arrive with 1,000 horsepower. The prototype made use of new downpipes that remove a chokepoint after the turbos. They spool up much faster to reach 60 mph in 2.1 seconds. Even with a full tank, the 765LT is just under 3,000 lbs. This gives it a better power-to-weight ratio than an F-22 Raptor. It is their fastest and most powerful McLaren ever offered, and the comprehensive package is only $24,950. 2021 McLaren GT Defies All Limits

Choosing the perfect supercar is now much easier because the 2021 McLaren GT defies all limits. Before it arrived, prospective McLaren owners had to choose between the Sports Series or the Super Series. Cars like the 570S and the 600LT opened doors to the brand while the 675 and 720 remained atop the lineup. They made use of different chassis and suspension technology to offer something for everyone, as engineers sought to utilize the best of both series. What you see is the result. The McLaren GT offers more luxury and livability than any predecessor. Starting with an all-new chassis, the suspension of the 720S was tuned to be more forgiving in real-world situations. Also borrowing the engine, the 4-liter twin-turbo was tuned for more torque at lower speeds. Trading the high-strung screamer for low-speed grunt is always fun in my opinion. You will have 20 cubic feet of cargo space with the ability to reach 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. If you need room for a weekend trip along with the ability to cruise at 203 mph, the McLaren GT is for you. McLaren 720S GT3X is What Happens When There Are No Rules

The new McLaren 720S GT3X is what happens when an automaker that creates race cars wants to break the rules. More specifically, the 720S GT3X is the GT3 car but without the rules and limitations that racing series slaps on. While it looks similar to the GT3 car, thanks to the aero packages, it's what's inside that makes this supercar so insane. First up is the power M840T 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine which has been increased to 720 horsepower. Rob Bell, a McLaren Factory Driver, notes in the video up above that this car has been given an extra 200 hp and it truly brings the GT3X to a new level. An extra 30 hp can be added with the press of the "Push-to-pass" button. Other modifications include the bigger turbos, bigger manifolds, upgrade cooling system and more. Another very awesome addition is the fact that this 720S GT3X can seat more than one person. Yes, the driver can take a passenger out for a spin. 2022 McLaren Artura Is The Beginning Of A New Era

Hybrid and EV technology is watching gasoline ride off into the sunset. The new 2022 McLaren Artura is the beginning of a new era, as we watch V6 engines have now made the V8 look obsolete. If you watched the reveal with us, you are likely smiling at the notions of an all-new chassis. Using the 600LT as a benchmark, the new carbon fiber monocoque is lighter and stronger while also accommodating a battery pack. Another incredible leap forward is the V6 engine. Instead of firing the cylinders at 60 or 90 degrees, the cylinder heads are 120 degrees apart. This wide-angle offers perfect balance without needing heavy counterweights on the crankshaft. The engine itself offers 577 horsepower and 431 lb-ft of torque, and it is supplemented by the latest in hybrid assistance. A compact battery is rated at 7.4 kWh, and it allows the car to have a total output of 671 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. Cutting weight in every component allows this car to offer a curb weight of 3,303 lbs. This allows it to reach 60 mph in 3 seconds, 124 mph in 8.3 seconds, and 186 mph in under 22 ticks. The electric motor offers a range of 19 miles, and swapping the polarity allowed engineers to build a new dual-clutch transmission without a reverse gear. Nothing about the Artura is shared with its predecessors except for the brand's logo. Every car will arrive with a host of other performance-minded goodies that don't add weight. From an electronic differential to Pirelli Cyber Tyre technology, you will truly be amazed it can all be offered at a starting price of $225,000. This car will undoubtedly be the beginning of a new series, so stay with us for all your McLaren news. Images (C) McLaren Automotive
