Check Out A$ASP Rocky's Custom Mercedes-Benz 190E From Ne...

Showcasing a true one-of-one build and design, the motorsport-inspired Mercedes makes an appearance on real life and virtual roads. With iconic automotive-inspired video games making their triumph return, most car enthusiasts are reliving their past and most likely the reason for their fueled obsession. One of the most anticipated video game releases of the year is Need For Speed Unbound, a modern take on a classic that now includes inspiration from celebrity car collectors and industry-leading streetwear brands. While the fashion specialists at Palace began its partnership with the video game franchise, American rapper A$AP Rocky is also featured in the game along with a virtual version of his DTM-inspired Mercedes-Benz 190E. MUST-READ: The New Need For Speed Unbound Game Launches December 2 With A$AP Rocky And Palace Skateboards Collaborations Accurately depicting his one-of-a-kind German classic, the game reimagines its split-colored black and white finish. The build also showcases bright yellow gold exterior trim components, a favorite for A$AP Rocky as his lyrics and songs countlessly reference the precious metal. Each door reads “If not now then when” and “Always strive and prosper” as a nod to Rocky’s A$AP music family. Its rather traditional styling achieves its aggressive look with an aftermarket air suspension that lowers the 190E beneath the custom motorsport wheels. Mercedes-Benz Reveals The New EQE SUV and Mercedes-AMG EQ...

Mercedes-Benz’s latest addition to its SUV lineup is shocking. Mercedes-Benz has been steadily rolling out new electric vehicles with a new all-electric EQ platform, and all of them have shown off high-tech luxury, innovation, efficiency, and style. The fourth model to be introduced based on the EQ platform is the new EQE SUV, which like its EQE sedan counterpart, is smaller and nimble than its EQS siblings, while still offering lots of luxury, power, style, and efficiency. The new EQE SUV features lots of amazing technology, boasting a 342-mile range, a Dolby Atmos-equipped Burmester sound system, over-the-air updates including for the battery management software to ensure optimal efficiency throughout the vehicle’s lifetime, and a new “Serene Breeze” soundscape, which takes full advantage of the change from combustion engines to electric power with an audible reminder of the technology at the driver’s fingertips. MUST READ: Mercedes-Benz USA Reports Over 87,000 Sales For Q3 2022 Simultaneously introduced with the EQE SUV is the Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV, Affalterbach’s performance-ready rendition of the all-electric luxury SUV. It’s Mercedes-AMG’s first all-electric SUV, and Mercedes-Benz says that it’s the “most versatile electric vehicle” that AMG offers. With high performance and luxury along with ample space for passengers and luggage, the new Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV is quite the dynamic vehicle. The exterior features a sportier design, with AMG signatures like the iconic vertical grille, of course as a panel in the front fascia of the all-electric model, as well as AMG-specific wheels and other touches throughout. The interior follows the same brief, with a flat-bottomed leather-wrapped steering wheel, sports pedals, AMG-specific floor mats, and other small touches. However, the bite of this electric luxury performance SUV matches its bark. A total of 677 horsepower, when the vehicle is equipped with the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package with Boost function, coming from the dual-motor drivetrain ensures staggering performance, and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive makes sure that that power gets onto the road in the most clever, efficient, and easy-to-enjoy way possible. The MBUX Hyperscreen in the new Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV offers AMG-specific functions, like access to AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving programs for a more exhilarating experience at your fingertips. With other features like active damping in the suspension, rear-axle steering, active roll stabilization, and more, the new Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV makes it possible to say the words “luxury,” “performance,” “electric,” “practical,” and “SUV” all in the same sentence. The New Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE Has The World's...

The performance version of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class just got more serious than ever. While it’s always been a desirable, luxurious, and powerful luxury performance car, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE completely changes its approach to performance with a new powertrain that uses half as many cylinders but produces more power than the model has ever seen before. The new car retires the predecessor’s twin-turbocharged V8 engine and instead opts for a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine paired with electric motors for a hybrid setup, but by no means is that 4-cylinder engine sluggish. Good for as much as 476 horsepower on its own, the longitudinally-installed engine is a version of the famous M139 four-cylinder engine that yet again reaffirms its title as the world’s most powerful 4-cylinder engine in a roadgoing production car with an incredible 238 horsepower per liter. Of course, this incredible number comes even before the electric system is accounted for. MUST READ: The Best Mercedes’ You Can Buy Today The electric motor at the rear axle is capable of 204 horsepower, and with an electrically-shifted two-speed gearbox it joins with the engine to create what is known as a P3 hybrid system. With a total system output of an incredible 680 horsepower along with a total system torque of over 752 lb/ft, the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE is clever, smart, and unprecedentedly powerful. That power is delivered with incredible intelligence thanks to AMG Performance 4MATIC+ and rear-axle steering, as well as the AMG Ride Control suspension with Active Damping seen previously in the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series. Also featured is the electric exhaust gas turbocharger, which uses F1-derived technology to cleverly combat turbo lag and deliver an uncompromised driving experience. With a 0-60 time under 3.4 seconds, a luxurious, yet performance-oriented interior, and a MBUX system tailored to the hybrid powertrain, the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE is driving into a new chapter for AMG, faster than ever before. Mercedes-Benz Will Continue To Make V8 Engines Past 2030

In an automotive world full of change, some things will remain. It’s no secret that we are at a crossroads in the automotive world. As more focus begins to be placed on environmental sustainability by brands, electrification has become a bigger priority for many, and in the race to carbon neutrality, it seems many brands are making the switch even quicker than previously imagined. Add to that the incredible performance of electric cars, and what you have is a sweeping change that seems to be quickly taking over the automotive landscape. However, regardless of how fast, easy, or environmentally friendly electric cars are, it will be tough to say goodbye to the gasoline-powered cars we have known and loved for so long, but apparently, at least in the case of Mercedes-Benz, we might not have to for a little longer than we thought. MUST READ: Mercedes-Benz And Rivian Announce A New Partnership For Electric Vans Many brands are setting goals for carbon neutrality to happen by 2030, which for lots of them means that their portfolio will no longer include gasoline-powered cars. While this includes Mercedes-Benz, the V8 engine might not completely go away. Even in the future, some market conditions and regions may still be able to enjoy the classic driving experience of a V8-powered car, perhaps in applications where electric power is somehow impractical. Joerg Bartels, Vice President for vehicle development at Mercedes-Benz said to CarSales, "if there's still a customer demand... why should we stop it?" when asked about the V8 engine. Either way, it’s good to hear that the V8 engine won’t be forced into obsoletion because while the innovation electric cars have introduced is amazing, there’s something to be said about the classic joy of a combustion engine.
