How the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team's Simulator Works

The racing simulator you can set up in your own house is much different than the ones professionals use. A perfect explanation of just how serious a motorsports' team is when it comes to their simulator can be found in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team's latest video. In the video, found below, you'll see Anthony Davidson taking the seat in the team's extraordinarily complex simulation setup. He's put through the paces and dials in the car while replicating what Lewis Hamilton on the track, which happens to be Monza. He's constantly feeding information to the engineering team, letting them know how the car feels to him and what could be improved. It's just like the real thing, but... virtual and it doesn't take a lot of time or money to swap out setups. Check it out down below! If you want a professional simulator setup in your household, you should check out SimXperience and the Stage 5 VR Motion Simulator they offer. " width="680">

2020 Mercedes-AMG S63 4Matic+ Coupe in designo Night Blac...

My first experience in a 2-door S-Class was nothing short of perfection. There is nothing wrong with the traditional S-Class sedan, its just massive. That is why the coupe and convertible replicate every ounce of luxury and performance into a platform that is a bit more practical. It makes no sense to not go all-in when you need the perfect daily driver. That is why the AMG version arrives fully loaded. This is their flagship coupe since the S65 version was cancelled last year. The Vi12 made it nose-heavy and didn't allow for All Wheel Drive. With it out of the way, engineers have thrown all their efforts into the 2020 S63 coupe. You will have a twin-turbo V8 sending 603 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque to all wheels. All the latest safety and comfort you would expect is found throughout the interior. Instead of a dual-clutch transmission, their patented Multi-Clutch system can go from silky smooth to bang shifts in Sport+ mode. If you can handle this matte black masterpiece, click the button below for all the details and stay with us for more great offers from Mercedes-Benz of Easton. View Price & Specs

Two of only 350 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Editions a...

Only 2,424 Miles Still Under Warranty Mercedes-Benz has a long history of racing and motorsports, but it was not their focus in the late 60's. Two engineers with a passion for performance decided to resign and open a shop dedicated to built the ultimate versions of the cars they loved. Mr. A & Mr. G formed AMG to build fast cars, and three decades of dominating the aftermarket prompted Mercedes-Benz to purchase the company in 1999. In doing so, AMG was given a blank check to build the car of their dreams. Therefore, they built a new 6.2L V8 and a 21st-century resurrection of the famous Gullwing SL. The SLS AMG coupe was soon followed by a roadster, and Mr. duPont ordered one with every option. My experiences behind the wheel of that 2012 masterpiece will be forever burned into my memory. The SLS AMG represents the last Mercedes-Benz supercar to have a big naturally aspirated V8. While they were never meant for mass production, Mercedes and AMG fans spared no expense when ordering. All good things must come to an end, so the final 350 examples of the SLS AMG GT were a series unto themselves. Each car includes the aerodynamic bits from the SLS Black Series along with two unique choices of forged monoblock 19" wheels. Designo leather interior was standard, and Dunlop Sport Maxx Race Cup tires were a popular option. The sound of a true AMG 6.2L at high rpm would scare John Force, and it has a style so bold that we will never see another Gullwing. Even the latest Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro does not measure up. This is the end of an era for an independent AMG, and that is why it should be the centerpiece of your collection. Our friends at Fort Lauderdale Collection have all the details, so click the button below to learn more. View Price & Features P.S. While this would be a fitting place to end, sitting next to this black beast is another 2015 SLS AMG GT Final Edition. It is a red roadster with 3,999 miles. While the Gullwing has an unmistakable style, Summer has arrived here in Florida. The roadster offers the same 591 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque along with a stronger chassis to cope with going topless. The innovative "Air Scarf" is able to force hot or cold air at your neck, providing a bubble of perfect temperature around your noggin. I have tested it at speed, and I still wonder why all convertibles don't have such equipment. The previous owner added a few goodies from RENNtech, so you will be pleasantly surprised. Mercedes-Benz Celebrates 120th Anniversary of Their Brand...

Emil Jellinek was an Austrian car dealer who prepared and sold Daimler cars for racing events. To honor his successes, the company decided to name a new car after his daughter. That is how the 1900 Mercedes 35 HP laid the foundation for an empire. It debuted in April, just in time to win several races. Many historians regard it as the prototype of the automobile industry. Bettina Fetzer is the Head of Marketing for Mercedes-Benz AG, and she says: "Women like Mercédès Jellinek or Bertha Benz shaped the success story of Mercedes-Benz from the start. With our She’s Mercedes initiative, founded in 2015, we are building on this tradition for our numerous female customers around the world. The future of Mercedes-Benz will combine sustainability and luxury in a fascinating way." So here's to all female motoring pioneers. And as food for thought, the world's greatest car magazine wouldn't be here without Mrs. duPont and the hard work of all our female coworkers. Browse All Mercedes-Benz For Sale

How to Customize Your Mercedes-AMG One

Only a few times in history have automakers built de-tuned race cars for the public. As a way to showcase their engineering expertise, AMG is prepared to unleash a plug-in hypercar. If you are one of the 275 confirmed customers, here is how to customize your Mercedes-AMG One. Let's start with the standard equipment. This carbon fiber body has inboard suspension that was tuned by Lewis Hamilton. Styling was handled by Gorden Wagener, and power comes from a 1.6L turbo V6. One motor/generator on the engine can power the rear wheels, and each front wheel has its own motor. The total output is rated at 1,231 horsepower. The turbo also has a small electric motor between the turbine and compressor to provide boost at an instant. This car uses parts directly from their F1 program, so it better have options worthy of such investment. Mercedes-Benz Logo Update Promotes Social Distancing

Sometimes one image speaks more than a million words could do. All health professionals agree that we need to stay home, or as far as possible away from others. Mercedes F1 is Building Breathing Machines

While many automakers have stepped up to build ventilators, many patients don't need such an intrusive apparatus. For those who can still breathe on their own, the U.K.'s National Health Service has asked for CPAP machines. Often used to help with snoring, the Continuous Positive Airway Pressure helps those who aren't affected as badly as the hardest hit. Also used to ween the recovering off of ventilation, we're glad the Mercedes F1 team is building breathing machines. In a press release by Formula 1, the Mercedes High Performance Powertrain factory is quickly gearing up to deliver 1,000 units daily to University College London Hospital and to the National Health Service. We applaud their efforts in going from project meeting to production in 100 hours, so stay with us for all your Formula 1 updates.

2020 Mercedes-AMG GT4 Receives Potent Upgrades

After a successful racing season, AMG engineers have learned how to make their cars and teams more successful. That is why the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT4 has received potent upgrades. After sculping new aerodynamic features, they turned their attention to cooling. Larger carbon fiber brake ducts force fresh air at thicker front rotors. A larger oil cooler has been placed to scoop turbulent air and keep the engine happy. The hood has gained a heat extractor made of natural fiber-reinforced composite. Mercedes-AMG GT-R Price, Specs, & Review Headlights and taillights are upgrades, borrowed from the GT3 program. These LEDs keep the car almost identical to the street-legal AMG GT models while also offering better visibility for drivers and their competitors. 12th Special Edition Mercedes-AMG x Cigarette Racing Boat Other goodies include forged track rods for the rear axles and a larger brake fluid reservoir to keep things cool.
