Yachts have come a long way from simply offering a luxurious way to vacation and explore the open ocean. Today's newest builds are designed to rival five-star hotels, along with a configuration process completely tailored to the owner’s vision and lifestyle. It's a philosophy Zeelander Yachts has embraced for more than 20 years, building beautifully handcrafted, seaworthy Dutch yachts while going the extra mile for every client. Just recently, the team at Zeelander highlighted a newly delivered Zeelander 5 with ties to the automotive and luxury worlds, stopping at no expense to make it a true one-of-a-kind masterpiece. At 14.7 meters (48.3 feet), the Zeelander 5 is an evolution of the award-winning Z44, featuring a timeless lobster-style express cruiser design and a spacious single-level, indoor-outdoor living layout. Shying away from the yacht builder’s traditional color palette and use of exposed wood, this yacht comes finished in a custom Bentley Light Gazelle metallic paint that shifts between tones of warm grey and bronze hues depending on the light. Tinted exterior glazing helps keep the cabin cool and private while giving the yacht a sleek, stealthy look on the water.

Inside is where Zeelander shows off its ability to absolutely deliver on customer requests, with a bespoke Hermès-inspired interior created in collaboration with the owner's personal interior designer. Its modern, spacious layout includes Macassar wood, Greystone finishes, Corduroy Bella Grana upholstery, Mirage Rustic leather with Bentley honeycomb stitching, subtle orange accents, and a distinctive Hermès orange Corian galley countertop. The most impressive feature aboard has to be the Rolls-Royce-inspired starlight headliner integrated into the wheelhouse.

Along with accommodations for four guests across two cabins, including a full-beam owner's suite, the amenities extend to the aft platform where more Hérmes orange touches come to life. The owner even had a custom-built cigar humidor and an aft-deck television added for more entertainment on the water. Designed with ease of use in mind, the Zeelander 5 makes everything from Mediterranean island hopping to docking in tight marinas effortless, thanks to joystick controls, excellent visibility from the helm, and Volvo Penta IPS propulsion (40-knot top speed). Now in the hands of a happy new owner, you have to wonder what Zeelander will create next.
