Something special has happened over the past 30 years. Those dream cars we grew up admiring and longing for are still just as desirable, but most have aged from daily drivers to timeless classics. And this isn't just something enthusiasts have come to realize. The manufacturers themselves understand they've created something special, and with that comes a responsibility to preserve the cars that define eras of motoring. Acura is revisiting its archives with the announcement of the Honda Heritage Parts program in the U.S., supplying Genuine Honda Reproduction Parts for the legendary first-generation Acura NSX. First introduced in Japan in April, more than 3,000 reproduction parts are now available for the 1991–2005 Acura NSX, with plans to grow that number in the future.

"Honda Heritage Parts was created to help our customers enjoy their classic Acura and Honda performance models, and it's appropriate that we begin with an iconic model like the first-generation Acura NSX," - Mamadou Diallo, executive vice president at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "By supporting our customers in preserving the legacy of the NSX, we're celebrating our shared passion for these iconic sports cars and keeping them on the road for today's enthusiasts and future generations."

When the first-generation Acura NSX debuted in 1990, it brought something different to the sports car world. With its low-slung aluminum body, mid-mounted V6, and handling developed with input from Ayrton Senna himself, it offered a driving experience that could go toe-to-toe with some pretty serious supercars at the time. As the years went on, the NSX also found a home in the JDM tuner scene, where custom builds became part of its aftermarket identity. Today, those same cars have found a new place in the collector market, with enthusiasts willing to pay six-figure premiums for the nostalgia and a driving experience that's practically impossible to replicate in modern sports cars. Now that we all understand how important the original NSX has become, owners who want to keep these cars on the road for years to come can with the Honda Heritage Parts program
