Bovet 1822 x Pininfarina Launch The New Aperto 1 Skeleton...

From hypercars to high-end watches, Pininfarina truly does it all! Pininfarina is so much more than just a big deal in the car world. The expert Italian designers got their hands on everything in the luxury lifestyle sector, from designing sleek yachts to creating stunning buildings and even teaming up with other top-notch brands for some seriously cool collaboration projects. One partnership that remains key to its DNA is its 14-year relationship with the historic horologists at Bovet 1822, whom they've already embarked on an exclusive journey with for the release of the Pininfarina Battista Tourbillon watch. Today, the dynamic duo is excited to unveil the all-new Aperto 1, crafted by Bovet and designed by Pininfarina. The Bovet Aperto 1 stands out as an open-worked timepiece that commemorates the traditional design staple of the watchmaking industry, which is why the word Aperto (Italian for "Open") was chosen as its official name. The 42mm modern marvel showcases a sand-blasted, matte-finished titanium case, with a detailed look at the inner workings of the watch through its fully skeletonized dial. The exclusive series comes in both a vibrant blue and yellow version. While it's not driven by four 123kW electric motors like its Battista sibling, the Aperto 1 is powered by an in-house 15BMPF09-OW hand-wound movement with more than 219 components and a 7-day power reserve. Adding a cool and comfortable aspect to the Aperto 1, Bovet 1822 and Pininfarina decided to fit the watch on an Amadeo-inspired interchangeable strap (two straps included) with a lightweight, matching titanium buckle. The all-new Bovet 1822 x Pininfarina Aperto 1 is now available through authorized retailers around the world. The Pininfarina Battista's "Suono Puro" Soundscape Is Ins...

The Pininfarina Battista might be electric, but it’s far from silent. One thing that we have all come to know and love about gasoline-powered cars is the sound that the engine makes. As car enthusiasts, that sound comprises much of the character and personality of the cars we drive, and the quiet nature of electric cars has been a source for skepticism and reservation towards them. However, the Pininfarina Battista, Pininfarina’s fully electric hyper GT which features Pininfarina’s signature stunning looks, and a similarly stunning 1,900 horsepower, has an innovative solution to the problem. MUST READ: Pininfarina Chicago Announced as Official Retail Partner of Automobili Pininfarina It’s called Suono Puro, and Pininfarina calls it “the sound of sustainable luxury.” Inspired by classical music and the 432 Hz A note known to be sonically pleasant, Suono Puro involves different sounds that correspond to the Battista’s different driving modes, and encourages driving pleasure for any mood. The sound is sent into the cabin of the car through a 10-speaker, 1,300-watt sound system from Naim to produce an elegant sound that drivers can enjoy in the same way as an internal combustion engine sound, communicating both high performance and relaxed luxury.
