Porsche and Capcom Reveal Cayenne Turbo GT for Resident Evil Requiem

A bespoke show car and a Porsche Experience Center event in Los Angeles mark the collaboration

The latest Resident Evil Requiem launches today on PC and consoles, and places Leon Scott Kennedy, the Italian-American agent, at the center of a high-risk investigation in the game's latest franchise. His transport in this latest installation won’t just be another generic vehicle, but the latest Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, which ties into the storyline through a formal collaboration between Porsche AG and Capcom.

Porsche also unveiled a one-of-a-kind blacked-out Cayenne Turbo GT show car featuring silver contrasting elements and Fuchs-style rims, in Los Angeles on February 19. Capcom and Porsche teams worked closely to translate in-game design cues into physical add-on components for the show vehicle.  The reveal took place at the Porsche Experience Center, where invited guests also participated in track sessions and had access to racing simulators installed on site.

The Turbo GT trim sits at the top of the Cayenne’s current gas-powered lineup. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, it produces 650 horsepower and 626 pound-feet of torque, can hit 60 miles per hour in 3.1 seconds, and continues to a speed of 186 miles per hour.

“An iconic character like Leon and a vehicle as powerful as the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT make for a perfect match. Partnering with a beloved gaming franchise like Resident Evil allows us to connect Porsche with global pop culture in a fresh and memorable way.” -  Deniz Keskin, Director of Brand Management and Partnerships at Porsche AG.

For those who've been closely following the game, Leon first appeared in Resident Evil 2 in 1998 as a rookie police officer reporting for his first day in Raccoon City. Over nearly three decades, his role has evolved into a federal agent navigating bioengineered threats across continents. Alongside protagonists such as Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, and Claire Redfield, Leon has helped shape this iconic franchise that has sold more than 180 million units worldwide.

The show car also features in a short film produced by Porsche and Capcom, starring Nick Apostolides, Leon’s voice and motion capture actor. It premiered on February 20 on the Resident Evil YouTube channel, linking performance engineering with a franchise that has defined its genre for thirty years.
