992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Price, Specs, Photos & Review

The pinnacle of Porsche’s race-ready 911 is back with a vengeance. With the revolutionarily improved performance of the 992 generation of the Porsche 911 GT3, enthusiasts, drivers, and collectors worldwide were shocked. Innovations like the swan-neck wing, more lightweight construction than before, and the incredible 502 horsepower squeezed out of the naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter boxer-6 engine Porsche gave the 911 GT3 meant that on our hands was the best Porsche 911 GT3 yet. But naturally, it’s human to want more, and as soon as we learned about the Porsche 992 911 GT3, we wanted to know just how ferocious the 2023 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS would be, and now, we have found out with the long-awaited reveal of the new 911 GT3 RS. For the 2025 model year, the new 992.2 generation of the Porsche 911 has been unveiled, and while the 911 GT3 RS has continued production, it's currently the only way to get your hands on a GT Porsche 992 991, as the Porsche 911 GT3 has not yet been announced for the 992.2 generation, but the Porsche 911 992.1 GT3 RS is still available. 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Price The price of the new 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS starts at $241,300, which is significantly more expensive than its GT3 counterpart. Here in the United States, the GT3 MSRP started at $161,100. Since the new RS version makes use of much more carbon fiber, is much more powerful, and is more technologically advanced as a whole, The 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS price will cost quite a bit more if you want to unequivocally dominate the track, and even more if you want the Weissach Package on a 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS for sale that adds tons of exposed carbon-fiber to the exterior, as well as experience more precise-feeling gear changes with magnet technology in the PDK shift paddles. View All 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RSs For Sale 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Review When compared to the already-incredible 992 Porsche 911 GT3 specs, the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS review is simply more. The swan-neck wing is much bigger and much more dramatic, and the body features more, bigger, and more detailed vents, fins, and aerodynamics. More than 1,500 simulations and 250 hours in the wind tunnel means that the downforce, even compared to the 992.1 GT3, is tripled. The front wing is fully active and can rotate by as much as 80 degrees, and the hood outlet pushes the air to the sides, where it is further pushed by the fins on the roof. The swan-neck-mounted wing, which reaches higher than the roof of the car features both a fixed panel and an active panel, and like an F1 car, the 911 GT3 RS features a Drag Reduction System (DRS) for maximum speed. In addition, Porsche achieved the impossible by making the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS horsepower even more than it was before. 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Specs Because of the incredible power of the 911 GT3’s engine, Porsche focused on aerodynamics and weight reduction in the new GT3 RS to make the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS specs even better than the GT3 counterpart. It features more carbon fiber than ever, even going to the doors, which saves around 10 pounds by switching materials. Even still, Porsche was able to work 16 more horsepower out of the 4.0-liter boxer-6, so the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS horsepower is 518 compared to the GT3’s 502 horsepower. On a long straight on your favorite race track, the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS top speed is 184 mph, and when coming out of a tight corner, the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 0-60 is just 3 seconds flat. While the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 1/4 mile time is just 10.9 seconds, the car has proved its ability in one of the most respectable ways the automotive industry knows: the 992 GT3 RS Nürburgring lap time is 6:44.848. Bringing all that power to a stop are the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS brakes, which are thicker and larger brake discs at the front, with 6-piston aluminum monoblock fixed calipers. Also available are Porsche's Ceramic Composite Brakes, with 16-inch front discs and 15-inch rear discs. The car comes standard with light-alloy center-locking wheels, which are 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the back, wrapped in incredibly grippy street-legal yet racing-ready Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, sized 275/35 R20 at the front and 335/30 R21 at the back. 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Specs Price: $223,800 Engine: 4.0-liter boxer-6 Transmission: 7-speed PDK Horsepower: 518 hp Torque:  342 lb/ft 0-60 mph: 3.0 s ¼ mile: 10.9 s Top Speed: 184 mph Nürburgring Lap Time: 6:44.848 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Engine Porsche, by some engineering miracle, manages to squeeze even more incredible amounts of power out of the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS engine, which is a boxer-6 4.0-liter naturally aspirated unit. That’s right, this car makes no use of turbochargers or superchargers, as is ever so common in the automotive world, especially when it comes to high-performance vehicles. All on its own, the 992 GT3 RS makes 518 horsepower, and it does so in part by going all the way up to a screaming 9,000 rpm. 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Transmission Because of all the power and racing-ready performance of the new 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the car makes use of a 7-speed PDK that any driver will be able to keep up with on the track. It shifts lightning quick and allows for the driver to reach the car’s full potential without having to be an expert. Of course, a manual would be tons of fun, but the performance of the car, as with many cars at this echelon of performance, is best handled with the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS transmission, and the PDK was wisely chosen by its engineers. 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Interior Here, you’ll find that the 992 generation of the Porsche 992 GT3 RS is purely designed for the track. You’ll find that the seats are incredibly lightweight and make use of microfiber cloth, and the steering wheel features unprecedented levels of adjustment, from the suspension to the differential to something you would usually only find in a race car: a traction control setting with 7 different positions, and the ability to turn it completely off. You won’t find the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS interior easy to use on the road, as Porsche has eliminated the front cargo area in favor of aerodynamics, and the standard-featured Clubsport package on the car involves the installation of a fire extinguisher, and in most markets, a roll cage. 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Standout Features It seems there’s no limit to what Porsche will do in the name of speed. With a fully-active front wing and a swan-neck wing that absolutely dwarfs the one featured on the current 911 GT3, Porsche went all-out with aerodynamics. The enormous rear wing features a fixed panel and one that is active to configure downforce needs when they are most necessary and guide air flowing over the car to go exactly where it needs to. From front to back, features like the front fender vents, roof-mounted fins, and more make sure no air that comes in contact with the new GT3 RS hinders it performance. Available with the Weissach package, you can save nearly 18 more pounds of weight by opting for forged magnesium wheels. The car also features an F1-like Drag Reduction system for incredible speed on any track’s straightaways, and features like suspension that’s more adjustable than ever to be one of if not the best handling and performing roadgoing Porsche 911 ever. What are the differences between the Porsche 911 GT3 and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS? The 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS expanded on the performance achievements of the already formidable 992 Porsche 911 GT3. The high-downforce, aerodynamically-efficient swan-neck wing has been improved to be larger for greater downforce, and active to adapt to various on-track situations. In addition, the engine is more powerful, and the car is more lightweight, resulting in a faster, more agile vehicle overall. How much does a Porsche 911 GT3 RS cost? The MSRP of a new 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS starts at $241,300, plus the cost of options like the Weissach Package, Paint to Sample, and others. However, if you're looking to score one of these ultra-exclusive high-performance cars on the second-hand market, examples are available, albeit for a premium. 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS examples for sale second hand often cost upwards of $400,000. Is the Porsche 911 Turbo S or the 911 GT3 RS faster? With its more powerful twin-turbocharged engine and all-wheel drive, the Porsche 911 Turbo S is faster in a straight line and boasts supercar-like qualities. However, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is aimed at drivers seeking a purist-focused, track-ready driver's car experience. The car features a naturally-aspirated engine, lightweight construction, and impressive aerodynamics, making it a marvel on challenging circuits and winding roads. Porsche Recaps The Copenhagen Luftgekühlt Event

Porsche’s iconic celebration comes to Copenhagen. Luftgekühlt is one of the most iconic Porsche events, made to honor the undeniable legacy and impact of Porsche’s lineage of air-cooled models. The original event was conceptualized by racing driver Patrick Long and creative director Howie Idleson, and starting as a gathering in Los Angeles, it’s grown since into a global celebration of automotive excellence. Its latest iteration brought Luftgekühlt to a unique venue in the Danish city of Copenhagen. The venue is an architecturally significant 1930s airport terminal, which was lifted and moved on flatbed trucks in 1999 to bring it to its new location and preserve its historical beauty. Luftgekühlt being a celebration of culture and history in the automotive world, the unique location served as the perfect complement to the event’s historic cars. 250 cars were displayed at the event, including some of Porsche’s most coveted historic examples. Fans from all over the world gathered to see the incredible cars, as well as icons like Magnus Walker, the “Porsche of the skies” plane, and more. With the latest Copenhagen iteration of the iconic event aiming to continue preserving and celebrating iconic automotive history and culture, it’s safe to say that the latest Luftgekühlt was a success. Porsche Cars North America Celebrates 40 Years Of Growth ...

Porsche Cars North America celebrates its 40th anniversary, marking its journey from humble beginnings to a leader in the U.S. luxury car market. This year, Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) celebrates its 40th anniversary, reflecting on its incredible journey since 1984. Back then, the company had just three models within its lineup: the 944, 928, and the iconic 911. That same year, Porsche made waves in motorsport by securing eight of the top nine spots at Le Mans and achieving an off-road victory in the Paris-Dakar rally with a G series 911. Fast forward to today, and PCNA’s growth has been nothing short of extraordinary, mirroring the brand's growing presence in North America. In 1998, as Porsche's popularity surged, PCNA relocated its headquarters to Atlanta, Georgia, laying the foundation for what would become a hub for Porsche enthusiasts. The opening of One Porsche Drive in 2015 solidified PCNA’s position as a cornerstone of the Porsche community in the U.S. The state-of-the-art facility includes the Porsche Experience Center Atlanta, offering exciting experiences for fans and serving as a home for Porsche Classic. The success of this concept led to the launch of a second Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles in 2016, further cementing Porsche's influence across the nation. Today, PCNA's impact on the American market is undeniable. The model lineup has expanded from three in 1984 to six today, including the 718, 911, Taycan, Panamera, Macan, and Cayenne. With over 200 Porsche Centers and a remarkable sales figure of over 75,000 cars in 2023, Porsche continues to dominate both on the road and in motorsports, carrying forward the legacy that began four decades ago. The Story Behind The Very First Porsche 911 Turbo

Porsche looks back on the special story of the very first 911 Turbo. Porsche is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo, which has spent the last half-century blossoming into one of the world’s most respected performance car nameplates and expanded to offering Turbo versions of Porsche’s other cars. Over 50 years ago, on August 29, 1974, the very first series production Porsche 911 Turbo was given by Ferry Porsche as a gift. Specifically, that gift was given to his sister, Louise Piëch, for her 70th birthday. Being the very first Porsche 911 Turbo, the one-off that was given to Louise didn’t feature the widened fenders the 911 Turbo would become known for, but it did feature the “whale tail” spoiler. In its time, the 930-generation Porsche 911 Turbo with its 3.0-liter engine was Germany’s fastest production vehicle. However, Louise Piëch’s car featured a 2.7-liter supercharged engine. Born in 1904, Louise Piëch was the daughter of Porsche’s founder, Ferdinand Porsche. Their father was a well known design engineer in the auto industry with a passion for performance. Her 16th birthday present was the Austro-Daimler AD 35 “Louise Wagen” open-top touring car. Louise even participated in racing, driving a supercharged Mercedes in racing events in 1927. Also having a passion for hunting and painting, Louise Piëch married attorney Anton Piëch in 1928. Louise spent time as a housewife, albeit with her finger on the pulse of Porsche and her husband being instrumental in Porsche’s legal affairs. However, after World War 2, Louise Piëch would become responsible for caring for the entire family, and for getting Porsche’s business up and running. With the help of Volkswagen, Porsche emerged with the 356 in 1948. Long after being gifted the first Porsche 911 Turbo in 1974, Louise would have a passion for sports cars, and for driving the Porsche 911 into her 90s. She passed away in 1999, remembered as one of the most instrumental people in the story of Porsche, very deserving of the role as custodian of the very first Porsche 911 Turbo. Porsche Reveals New One-Off Sonderwunsch Taycan Turbo S C...

Porsche announces a new electrified Sonderwunsch masterpiece. Porsche is known not only for its incredible lineup of luxury performance cars but also for offering the luxury of personalization to a remarkable degree through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. This company offers a broad Paint to Sample palette for clients who want to sport head-turning unique colors and even bespoke colors to be created upon request. However, Porsche’s arsenal has an even higher level of individualization and bespoke craftsmanship: Sonderwunsch. Translating from German to “special wishes,” Sonderwunsch represents Porsche’s ability to make completely bespoke renditions of its vehicles, practically rolling pieces of art. Taking inspiration from history, personal stories, and culture, each Sonderwunsch creation is a marvel of craftsmanship, luxury, and automotive excellence. The newest is a creation made in collaboration with Porsche Asia Pacific, celebrating jade's rich and revered cultural significance. The precious gemstone results from thousands of years of heat and pressure exerted on minerals, which fuse to create the transfixing, beautiful material. Its natural creation process results in the formation of beautiful colored patterns, which inspired the bespoke color that adorns the new one-off Porsche Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade. The one-of-one Sonderwunsch masterpiece evokes the unforgettable look of jade with Chromaflair paint, one of the most unique and coveted paint effects Porsche offers, in two colors that combine in a gradient from front to back. Chromaflair paint uses incredibly thin flakes to catch the light differently in a “shifting” manner as you look at it from different angles, and it requires incredible innovation to develop. The Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade combines Chromaflair Urban Bamboo at the front with Chromaflair Shifting Carbon at the rear for an ancient jade-like effect, also evoking the performance-oriented high-tech spirit of Porsche. The new one-off car marks the first time two Chromaflair colors have been combined. A bespoke logo was also made for the bespoke car, inspired by LongMa, a mythical creature with the head of a dragon and the body of a horse. The logo combines the year 2024, the Chinese zodiac Year of the Dragon, with the Porsche Taycan’s name, which derives from Turkish for “young horse.” The logo is featured throughout, along with special handcrafted varnished carbon fiber finishes. Another bespoke detail featured in the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade is Leather to Sample. Available now for the Taycan, Leather to Sample allows Porsche customers to go beyond the 10 leather and 15 seam colors available for the model. With roughly 150 colors currently available in the Leather to Sample palette, the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade combines Slate Grey with Englishgreen leather. Leather to Sample Plus offers bespoke colors, as well. With a truly bespoke configuration using techniques Porsche has never done before, the new Porsche Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade truly captures both the innovative, luxurious, and artisan spirit of Porsche and its Sonderwunsch program, as well as the mystical and ancient allure of jade. Porsche Honors The 911 Turbo's 50th Anniversary With Its ...

What better way to commemorate a true sports car legend. Suppose there's one thing that Porsche does better than engineering finely-tuned German sports cars. In that case, it's the ability to develop a timeless color palette of historic shades that are still being chosen for current-day configurations. In addition to breathing new life into iconic hues like Guards Red, Irish Green, and Speed Yellow, Porsche also focuses its efforts on creating new finishes that will carry on the tradition of originality and personalization. This year, Porsche is proud to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 911 Turbo by teaming up with Pantone during New York Fashion Week to reveal its all-new 'Turbonite' color. Porsche recently unveiled a special edition of the 911 Turbo S, along with a Taycan Turbo S, at the 'Porsche x Pantone' event during New York Fashion Week. The highlight of the new finish features gold-tinted details and a satin-matte finish, adding a distinct look to each car. Turbonite is showcased on the rear lettering, window borders, and the exclusive crest, making these models stand out in the Porsche lineup. This special edition build honors the 911 Turbo while commemorating the entire Turbo range as an essential part of Porsche's heritage. In addition to the exterior, Turbonite accents spread to the interior, with the color featured on trim strips, belt straps, and other controls, providing contrast against a black interior. Porsche has also revamped its color program, offering over 170 options through 'Paint to Sample,' allowing customers to choose classic Porsche colors or create personalized shades. This celebration of the 911 Turbo and the introduction of Turbonite perfectly represents Porsche's dedication to individuality.
