2019 Porsche Speedster Heading to Mecum Auctions Indianap...

Sequence Build No. 1,373 out of a total limited production output of just 1,948 examples, this 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster is in “as-new” condition with just 113 original miles. Optioned with the Heritage Design Package, a $24,510 extra, it features two-tone leather interior appointment, black brake calipers with white “PORSCHE” script, gold “SPEEDSTER” badging, classic Porsche crests and silver-colored wheels. Although it shares the Speedster namesake with the four previous generations that exemplified the minimalist sports car ethos, the 2019 Speedster is a far more radical and testosterone-infused machine. Beneath the classic Speedster wide body with a low, raked-back windshield, a double-bubble rear decklid and aggressively designed front and rear fascia is a competition-proven chassis, drivetrain, suspension and braking system sourced directly from the GT3 Touring model. The engine is a naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-6 producing 502 HP with some additional bits taken from the GT3 R including individual throttle bodies, a high-pressure injection system and a lightweight exhaust. The Speedster is offered exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox (PDK is not an option) sourced from the 911R. The suspension rides on a staggered set of center-lock wheels, 21-inch rear and 20-inch front, mounted on steamroller-sized low aspect ratio Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The GT3 Touring suspension used on the Speedster is a more compliant setup than that of its razor-edged GT3 RS brethren. Hence, the ride is firm but supple while delivering massive cornering grip. It is generously equipped with automatic climate control, Bose surround sound, Sport Chrono Package, rearview camera, Porsche Torque Vectoring, Porsche Stability Management, Porsche Active Suspension Management, carbon-ceramic brakes, carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber composite bucket seats, front axle lift system, online navigation, Porsche embossed crest in the headrests and power locks, windows and mirrors. Porsche 911 Owners' Stories: 996 GT3

Nothing easy comes without effort. We see that play out time and again by our dealers and fans. Once a determined enthusiast finds their dream car, nothing will stop them in attaining it. Such was the case with Loren, the latest star in Porsche's 911 Owners' Stories. In a quest to afford a new Porsche, he began to work on older ones, buying fixing, and flipping them for a tidy profit. That has evolved into his own Porsche workshop and a collection of 10 cars. " title="YouTube video" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen> His pride & joy is a 996 Porsche GT3. While retaining the same block as the 993 Series, the GT cars along with the Turbo had separate water jackets on each cylinder bank. Using the same chassis as the Turbo, the GT3 utilized the reinforced front suspension (without AWD) to achieve 1.03G on the skidpad. It was the highest lateral grip of any production car to-date. The 3.6-liter offers 375 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual. Along with the other Porsche 996 series, they are the most affordable 911 models on the market. They will definitely become collectible in a few years, so find one as a daily driver and stay with us for all your Porsche 911 news. Browse Porsche 911 For Sale " width="680">

Jay Leno Drives the 1991 Porsche 911 "Honor Roll" by Singer

Steve Davis is the Customer Relationship Manager at Singer Vehicle Design. You might think he has an easy job, as their skilled team is capable of turning any request into reality. However, giving your customers unlimited options can also be overwhelming. So his job is to translate a feeling into ideas, which are used to build the ultimate example of the 964-Series Porsche 911 for sale. Check Out Jay Leno's Car Collection As you probably know, Singer Vehicle Design is an homage to Norbert Singer, Porsche's Chief Engineer for decades. As such, no detail is too small. Porsche Celebrates 50th Anniversary of LeMans Win

Porsche and LeMans are inseparable. Since the 356 made its world debut in 1951, class victories were commonplace. It took nearly two decades to reach the top, and next weekend marks half a century since their first Overall Victory. Chief Engineer Norbert Singer was given a blank check to take on the world, and his 917KH set a precedent for all future Porsche supercars. To remind everyone what they are capable of, the race-winning car is being dusted off and treated to a tune up. The Porsche Museum will have it front and center for the weekend of June 13th. Car #23 was driven 343 laps and 2,863 miles by Hans Herrmann and Richard Attwood. The Porsche 917 series went on to dominate tracks around the world with factory teams and privateers, and it inspired the wild 959, Carrera GT, and the 918 Spyder. Porsche Design Introduces the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Desig...

Earlier, we touched on the new Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition being revealed and now we're back to discuss a bit more about the watch the accompanies this new special edition Porsche. The new 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design edition chronograph was unveiled alongside the Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition as a perfect accessory. Its design was inspired by the Porsche 356 and 911 Targa, just like the new limited-edition Targa 4S. Its face, for example, was inspired by the 356's speedometer and tachometer. It features Phosphorous Green rings and numbers, and a font that is in-line with Porsche's design characteristics. Superluminova is used for the hour indices for maximum visibility no matter the time of day. As for the strap, it's made of genuine Porsche interior leather, complete with "911" embossed in it. Controlling the movement and located in the titanium housing is the in-house developed Calibre WERK 01.100, which is COSC-certified (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres). From the bad, you can spot the movement through the gaps in the Fuchsfelge-inspired rotor design. This design can be optioned in either black or platinum, and features the Porsche badge in the center, just like the car. Only 992 examples of this extraordinary watch are being created.
