Watch The Porsche 911 GT3 Manthey Cut Over 4 Seconds Off ...

The Porsche 911 GT3 is formidable on the track, but Porsche found a way to make it even better. With its racing-derived swan-neck wing, the extensive use of carbon fiber, and some of the greatest racing-focused innovations Porsche has ever poured into the 911, the Porsche 911 GT3 is an incredibly impressive car on the track, able to do a lap of the Nordschleife circuit of the Nürburgring in less than 7 minutes. However, Porsche and Manthey saw that there was still some room for improvement even with a car as powerful and dynamic as the 911 GT3, so in conjunction, the Manthey Performance kit was created to improve the GT3’s aerodynamics and chassis, and with the kit, the GT3’s Nürburgring lap time improved by more than 4 seconds, shaving it down to 6:55:737. MUST READ: Porsche x RIMOWA x Ben Radcliffe Introduce A Life-Size Porsche 934 Steel Tube Sculpture Manthey and Porsche started by increasing the downforce of the car. With larger aero components at the front of the car, and a wider swan-neck wing, and new carbon fiber components throughout, efficiency and downforce are increased significantly. In addition, Manthey developed a special four-way coilover suspension that is adjustable for optimal track performance, and along with the GT3’s optional lightweight wheels and Manthey’s racing brake pads, the 911 GT3 was able to improve its Nürburgring time by a total of 4.19 seconds. Currently, the Manthey Performance Kit is available in Europe but will expand to other markets soon. View All 911 GT3s For Sale Source: Porsche

A vibrant interior to match Porsche x Sean Wotherspoon's multi-color exterior. After recently announcing its art car collaboration with sneaker designer and Round Two store owner Sean Wotherspoon, Porsche continues to highlight the vivid color palette of the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo. While the automotive and streetwear worlds fell in love with the vibrant multi-color exterior finish, the interior seemed to be a hidden feature that Porsche and Sean were waiting to unveil as its own showcase. Porsche x Sean Wotherspoon are finally ready to present the colorful interior design of the new Porsche Taycan 4 Cross Turismo art car. MUST-READ: Sean Wotherspoon x Porsche Unveil The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo Art Car With an exterior that presents a striking block style, the Porsche Taycan 4 Cross Turismo by Sean Wotherspoon incorporates the same artistic qualities into the spacious interior of the crossover. The combinations of colors include Nash Blue, Sean Peach, Loretta Purple, and Ashley Green, with Cork on the dashboard, steering wheel, and center console that creates visual contrast. The roof lining, seat center inlays, and sun visors are upholstered with this material in Atacama Beige. The inspiration behind the project came directly from Sean’s deep dive into Porsche’s history of art cars, which he found in famous examples like Janis Joplin’s psychedelic Porsche 356 and Richard Phillip’s 911 RSR from 2019. The Porsche Taycan 4 Cross Turismo by Sean Wotherspoon further defines the brand as an artistic vision aside from being a leader in sports car development. Porsche Celebrates 20-Years of The Cayenne, The 959 Succe...

Porsche's icon SUV stands right beside the 959. While the 911 platform defines itself as Porsche’s most iconic model in its historic fleet of performance cars, the adventurous Cayenne continues its legacy as a close second for the German automotive manufacturer. Porsche is proud to celebrate the Cayenne’s 20th Anniversary with a look back on its humble beginnings as the brand’s first production luxury SUV, which now features five generations that showcase its innovation and evolution. Finding its footing under design and performance aspects from the 959, the Porsche Cayenne now stands as the possible successor to the famous 1980s supercar. The idea behind developing the Cayenne began as Project ‘Colorado’, a joint partnership between Porsche and Volkswagen that would introduce an all-new Touareg off-roader. Porsche established its efforts by designing two in-house V8 engines, a 4.5-Liter Naturally Aspirated V8 and an upgraded version that generates more power from a twin-turbocharged system. MUST-READ: Which Porsche Macan Is Best? We Tested Them All For You The first-generation Porsche Cayenne was nicknamed the E1 and shares various similarities with the Dakar Rally 959, being an off-road platform that can withstand desert racing events as well as everyday driving. The most impressive area of the Cayenne fall under chassis technology, where the SUV showcases its true versatility and durability. The 2002 Porsche Cayenne came fit with state-of-the-art features like an electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system, air suspension, lockable center differential, a gearbox with a genuinely low-range transfer mode, and anti-roll bars that could be hydraulically-decoupled in difficult terrain. Someone on-scene during the birth of the Cayenne was Porsche development driver Walter Röhrl, who expressed his astonishment by saying "I thought they weren't serious. I was sure it couldn't manage these gigantic obstacles. But it did. That really impressed me.” Now 20-years later, Röhrl visits Porsche to see and feel all the Cayenne and Panamera generations in front of him in the pit lane of the Leipzig Experience Centre. Needless to say after experiencing the comfort, technology, and performance of the new models, Walter Röhrl extends a huge congratulations to the achievement of the development team at Porsche. Porsche Celebrates 50-Years of The Iconic 911 Carrera RS 2.7

The Porsche race car developed for the road. Although Porsche’s historic fleet features a long list of automotive icons, there are a few models that hold extreme significance for collectors, owners, and enthusiasts. Alongside examples like the 959, Carrera GT, and 918 Spyder, the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 establishes itself as the fastest German production car of its day. Porsche is proud to celebrate 50-Years of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 by looking back on the 911 variant that helped change the way we look at racing and rallying. Making its debut at the Pairs Motor Show in 1972, the special edition 911 became the product of 15 dedicated Porsche engineers with a focus on pushing the boundaries of both design and performance. The production model was the first chassis to receive a front and rear spoiler to enhance power and aerodynamics, which led to it being the first 911 to be christened ‘Carrera’. Porsche Newsroom As an entry into the motorsport world, Porsche’s initial plan was to build 500-examples to homologate the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 for Group 4 Special GT cars. After its road approval and acceptance into customer racing events, the original 500-chassis were all sold within two months. A total of 1,580 examples were built, and once the 1,000th vehicle had been made, the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was homologated for Group 3 as well as Group 4. Included in the production series of Porsche's new addition was the available M471 package, an option that added 200 lightweight ‘Sport’ versions to the mix. A further 55 examples of the racing version, 17 base vehicles, and 1,308 touring versions (M472) were built. Porsche Newsroom The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 features a 2.7-Liter Flat-Six fuel-injected engine that produces over 210-horsepower 188-ft lbs of torque to its rear wheels. Its traditional 5-speed transmission and 6,300 rpm top-line launch the 911 from 0-60mph in 5.8-seconds, making it the first production car to break the six-second mark set by the German trade journal ‘auto, motor und sport’. With a body made from thin sheet metal, thin windows, and plastic parts, Porsche was able to achieve a 152mph top speed because of its strategic weight reduction. Now viewed as one of the most highly sought-after Porsche examples, the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 gets its claim to fame as the race car developed for the road. Porsche is celebrating 50-Years of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 with a special exhibition at the Porsche Museum on September 20th, 2022. Porsche Clubs Are Celebrating Their 70th Anniversary With...

It’s obvious that Porsche’s history goes back a long time, but the love for Porsche runs nearly just as deep. Throughout 86 countries worldwide, nearly a quarter of a million people participate in 700 Porsche Clubs, and the history of Porsche Clubs goes back 70 years. The very first Porsche Club was established on May 26, 1952, two short years after the first Porsche was delivered in Germany. Originally called Westfälischer Porsche Club Hohensyburg, the club is now known as the Porsche Club Westfalen. Outside of Germany, the first international Porsche Club came about in 1953, and the world’s largest Porsche Club, the Porsche Club of America, was established in 1955. MUST READ: The 5 Porsche Concept Cars You Never Heard About As independent and mainly voluntary organizations, Porsche Clubs are forged purely out of a shared love for Porsche among people, and together, all kinds of different events, drives, shows, and other functions happen all over the world. As the first Porsche Club’s founding involved Ferry Porsche and racing director Fritz Huschke von Hanstein, the Porsche friendship that brings clubs together runs all the way to the Porsche family itself, with Dr. Wolfgang Porsche attending events to this day. Whether it’s a classic or modern Porsche, a sedan, sports car, SUV, or even an electric Porsche, 70 years passing has only made the worldwide love for the Porsche brand even stronger. To celebrate this anniversary, Porsche is bringing about a series of communications and events under an “Enduring Passion” banner, celebrating and supporting Porsche Clubs and their events all over the world. The 5 Porsche Concept Cars You Never Heard About

While the 911 dominates Porsche's brand, there are some special projects that were never revealed. While Porsche prides itself on creating models that defy the laws of design and performance, the brand continues its innovation behind closed doors until the right time comes for an official unveiling. Throughout its years as an industry leader and fan favorite, Porsche has shown the automotive world some of the most influential models that help shape the sports car market into what it is today. Sadly, many Porsche concept vehicles have yet to see the light of day because of various reasons and explanations. Porsche is proud to highlight some of its never-before-seen concepts alongside the announcement of its new Vision GT concept. Porsche Mission R Porsche Racing is still the beating heart of Porsche. And with the Mission R concept, unveiled in 2021, the company presented its vision for customer racing in the future. It’s a fully electric Porsche racecar made from innovative materials, and with the sort of eye-popping levels of acceleration and power that you would expect from the people who brought you the award-winning Taycan all-electric sportscar. Porsche 984 Concept Porsche Between 1984 and 1987, the Porsche Development Centre in Weissach, Germany, was busy working on a top-secret prototype called the Porsche 984. Conceived as a lightweight, aerodynamic roadster, it was designed to provide an affordable entry-point into the Porsche range. Porsche engineers wanted the 984 to major on fun, so the weight was kept low and the engine power modest. It also featured a folding hard-top roof, quite the innovation at that time. Unfortunately, the project was shelved because of the plummeting US dollar in 1987. Porsche Le Mans Living Legend Porsche The 550 Spyder is one the most iconic cars ever produced by Porsche, but the first sports car out of Zuffenhausen to be designed for racing was in fact a hard-topped version, the 550 Coupé. And it’s the car that provided the inspiration for the extraordinary looking Le Mans Living Legend. The Renndienst Porsche Styled on the VW racing service van (‘renn’ is a shortened form of the German word ‘rennen’, or racing, while ‘dienst’ means service) that was used by the factory racing team, this futuristic minivan has room for six people and features a modular travel cabin. Importantly, this being a Porsche, the Renndienst is more than just a practical bus. Combining sportiness with comfort, the driver sits in a central lounge chair, which gives the passengers a greater view of the road ahead and takes up less cabin space than a conventional row of seats. The 2018 Renndienst also features all-electric drive and autonomous capability and hints at an exciting future for the sports car brand. Porsche Panamericana Porsche The Panamericana is a fabled Mexican roadrace, deemed by many as the toughest of them all in its 1950s heyday, whose name would later famously act as inspiration for the naming of the Porsche Panamera Sports Saloon and Sport Turismo. The Porsche Panamericana, however, was a roadster concept study that would turn out to be one of the best birthday presents that Ferry Porsche ever received.
