Porsche Design Introduces the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Desig...

Earlier, we touched on the new Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition being revealed and now we're back to discuss a bit more about the watch the accompanies this new special edition Porsche. The new 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design edition chronograph was unveiled alongside the Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition as a perfect accessory. Its design was inspired by the Porsche 356 and 911 Targa, just like the new limited-edition Targa 4S. Its face, for example, was inspired by the 356's speedometer and tachometer. It features Phosphorous Green rings and numbers, and a font that is in-line with Porsche's design characteristics. Superluminova is used for the hour indices for maximum visibility no matter the time of day. As for the strap, it's made of genuine Porsche interior leather, complete with "911" embossed in it. Controlling the movement and located in the titanium housing is the in-house developed Calibre WERK 01.100, which is COSC-certified (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres). From the bad, you can spot the movement through the gaps in the Fuchsfelge-inspired rotor design. This design can be optioned in either black or platinum, and features the Porsche badge in the center, just like the car. Only 992 examples of this extraordinary watch are being created. Porsche 911 Owner Stories: 1978 SC

Owners of classic Porsche 911s often fall into two separate but equal groups. Those who immediately opt for a full restoration, and drivers who do it one piece at a time. Lawrence Fitz-Simon is an Englishman living in LA who enjoys the imperfections that build up over 4 decades. The 911 SC is the "Super Carrera". Powered by a 3-liter, it originally arrived with 188 horsepower. Considering the featherweight chassis, the SC series is loved by Porsche purists for reinvigorating the brand. Photographer Recreates Iconic Photos With LEGO Porsches

Building LEGO sets is one thing, but taking those finished sets and setting them up for real photoshoots is another. Dominic Fraser did just this very thing as he found himself stuck inside during the quarantine without being able to partake in his standard photoshoots. With a house full of cameras and his children's LEGO sets, he created a new Instagram series. In this series, he recreates iconic Porsche photos that have been taken over the years, including the famous picture of the 930 Turbo catching air. “If anything, it’s helped my photography because I’ve really had to think about the technicalities of the shot, and to visualize exactly what I’m trying to capture,” Fraser says. “It’s been a more conceptual process than I’m used to with actual cars – in real life, you shoot much more in the moment.” Check out all the images below, including some behind-the-scenes images. And I've also included a button below where you can browse all of the LEGO Speed Champions sets so you can recreate some iconic images yourself. Shop LEGO Sets Source: Porsche Newsroom

You Can Now Track Your Porsche From Production to Delivery

Let's all be honest, we've all ordered something online that we're super excited about to the point where the tracking page for the delivery is constantly being refreshed. Now, you can repeat this process when ordering a new Porsche. The new "Porsche Track Your Dream" will let customers track their Porsche from production in Germany to delivery at the dealership. How does it work? Customers are given a special link when an order is placed that takes them to a platform that tracks 14 milestones. These milestones include creation, vessel departure from Germany, port entry, dealership arrival and more. As of right now, this program is made available for customer-ordered 911s, but Porsche plans to expand it to the Taycan. "Buying a Porsche is a special moment, and one that should be as personal as possible, recognizing that placing the order and awaiting its delivery is part of the experience as anticipation builds," says Klaus Zellmer, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA). "Porsche Track Your Dream allows our customers to trace every key stage of their new car as it leaves our home in Germany." Roads to Taycan: Learn How Porsche's Groundbreaking Model...

The Porsche Taycan has become the hottest ticket in the German automaker's lineup. Not only is it Porsche's first fully electric modern model, it's also lightning quick and has plenty of style to go around. But, creating an electric Porsche with 750 horsepower and a 2.6-second 0 to 60 mph time wasn't an easy feat. Engineers, designers and testers worked tirelessly to bring the Taycan to life as we see it today. While we weren't there to see everything come together, Porsche has the "Roads to Taycan" book that documents the model's various stages of testing. This includes testing that took place in locations like South Africa, Sweden and Shanghai. Beautiful photos taken by Christopher Bauer, who has been a photographer for Porsche since 1985. Click the link below to pick this book up for yourself. I should note that this book was only printed 2019 times, so it's quite limited. Porsche Taycan Horsepower & Specs Shop Now Source: Porsche

New 2021 Porsche 911 Targa Teased

There are certain models that we can expect when a new generation of the Porsche 911 is released. For instance, you can always count on a Cabriolet, Turbo and usually a GT2 or GT3 variant. Another that has recently become a mainstay is the Targa, the iconic 911 variant that was introduced back in the 1960s. While the 992 generation has been out for some time, we haven't seen a Targa variant but now we know it's coming soon. Porsche recently uploaded a video to YouTube that teases the new 2021 911 Targa. In the video, we learn that the new Targa was to be unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show, but that event has since been canceled. They then planned on the unveiling to happen at the Tennis Grand Prix. Again, canceled. Then it was onto the unveiling happening at the Porsche Museum. Guess what? That was temporarily closed. So, Porsche is planning on the new 911 Targa to be unveiled in a digital space on May 18, 2020. Stay with us for more information as it's revealed. All 911 Targas for Sale
