Unique Red and White Porsche 918 Spyder at Miller Motorcars

Recently at Miller Motorcars in Greenwich, Connecticut was a special visitor: a Porsche 918 Spyder with the Weissach Package in a unique livery.Typically, Porsche offers the 918 Spyder with standard and metallic paints, as well as wraps that include the Martini Racing and Salzburg Racing liveries. But, this example of Porsche's hypercar has a primarily white finish with red racing stripes that flow from the side air vents behind the front wheels, over the rear wheel arches and into the tail lights. Matching the striping are the wheels and added aerodynamic body pieces included in the Weissach Package.(Related: Porsche Finishes Production on the 918 Spyder)The paint was finished by Detailing Dynamics, a Mineola, New York, with some help from Finish Line Collision, a Long Island-based customization and body repair facility. Detailing Dynamics posted a photo to their Instagram account July 18 of the stunning 918, showing it prepping for the trip to Connecticut. #forthosewhoexpectthebest #porsche #918spyder #winning #designbydetailingdynamics. After 2 months of complete transformation the all custom painted design created with the help of @finishlinecollisionny was a show stopper and the most photographed car at last week's event @millermotorcars. Whoever said paint is dead needs a reality check. @lamborghiniks you always been such great inspiration. ? A photo posted by Detailing Dynamics (@detailingdynamics) on Jul 18, 2015 at 4:37pm PDT For those wanting to brush up on their 918 Spyder knowledge, here are some quick notes about the hypercar. Being a hybrid with two electric motors and a 4.6-liter V8, you’d think that it would be a heavy car. In fact, at 3,616-3,715 pounds, you might even think it needs to shave off a few pounds. But, this seemingly makes no difference to the performance. A heart-stopping 0-60 mph time of 2.8 seconds keeps you second guessing whether you’re actually driving a hybrid.Porsche has designed the 918 to be one of the easiest track cars to drive. Electric assisted quick-ratio steering mated with a counter-steering system angles the rear wheels up to 3° to give the perfect turn. The driver can choose from four different driving modes: the innovative E (electric)-mode, Hybrid mode, Sport Hybrid mode and an extra Sport Hybrid mode that is activated by a dangerous little red button in the center console that lets out all the power on reserve.View Miller Motorcars' ListingsGallery (Source: Miller Motorcars) See More Exotic Automotive Dealer News

The Carrera GT: Own Porsche Supercar History

Porsche has long been renowned for its impressive abilities in crafting powerful and sleek cars for the road and the track, but a few of their production models stand out far beyond the rest for their ability to conquer both. From 1986-89, the 959 reigned supreme in the world of luxury performance cars. Its twin-turbocharged flat six engine was capable of reaching 195 mph, making it the fastest car of its time. But it wasn't until nearly 20 years later that another supercar came from the marque: the Carrera GT.(See Also: Only LaFerrari For Sale in the U.S. at Naples Motorsports)From 2004 to 2007, the two door stunner utilized a 5.7-liter V10 originally crafted for a Le Mans prototype. 1,300 of the planned 1,500 made it to production and sale, with an original MSRP of $448,000 USD. Of course, today they are worth much, much more.Check out our listings of Carrera GTs below, and find the perfect one of these Porsche powerhouses for your collection.Woodland Hills, California | Call for Price Buy Now Lake Park, Florida | Call for Price Buy Now Las Vegas, Nevada | $795,000 Buy Now Bakersfield, California | $819,000 Buy Now Shenandoah, Texas: $847,750 Buy Now Salem, New Hampshire | $895,000 Buy Now North Miami Beach, Florida | $949,950 Buy Now Springfield, Illinois | $1,099,900 Buy Now

Rare Porsche 918 Delivery at Porsche of Tampa

Recently, at Porsche of Tampa, a very special 918 Spyder was delivered that looks to be the only one of its kind in the United States. The car delivered to the dealership was finished in a gorgeous electric blue paint and includes the Weissach Package. This factory-installed package reduces the car's weight through new brakes, wheels, bolts and more. Additionally, new aerodynamic body pieces are included with the package in an effort to increase downforce and aerodynamics. It is our understanding that this is possibly the only Porsche 918 Spyder with the Weissach Package finished in this color in the United States. This comes as a surprise to us considering how gorgeous this hybrid hypercar is.Check out the gallery below to see the car for yourself.View Dealer InventoryGallery Source:

1 of 3 - 1994 Porsche 911 Strosek Mega Widebody Speedster...

Do you like your Porsche 911s air-cooled? We do too, so that’s why the Type 964 Porsche, produced from 1989 to 1994, is among our favorite cars. To celebrate the end of the 964 along with the beginning of the 993, produced from 1993 to 1998, Porsche decided to build a limited run of Speedsters. The ’94 Speedster is unique for many reasons. To optimize aerodynamics, the windshield was essentially cut in half and a double-hump rear tonneau cover eliminated the rear seat area. A unique interior package combined the luxury of the Carrera with two-tone leather. Only 427 cars were built for the US market, and since they are the last air-cooled Speedsters, they will be forever sought after by collectors. (Must Read: Russo and Steele Monterey 2014 Auction Preview) If you like your 911 to be one of only a handful, Strosek Design has been pushing performance and design to its limits since 1984. Vittorio Strosek originally had his own interpretation of the 928, and his design was a hit. He expanded his operations to performance parts and new body panels for all Porsche models, which were imported by Fred Opert Racing of Ramsey, New Jersey. Fred knows the value of good advertising, and we were able to find his ad for the original Mega Speedster on page 4 of our January 1994 issue. Starting life as one of the 427 U.S. spec Speedsters, it was sent to Strosek’s factory to emerge as a Mega Widebody Speedster. The hood may be the only Stuttgart sheetmetal left, as they changed almost every aspect of the car. No expense was spared, as intake, exhaust and suspension were completely replaced with performance parts. This stunning design was such a hit, Yokohama chose it for their print ads in the mid 90’s. Still wearing the same Yokohamas today, this rare vehicle only has 23,168 fully documented miles. What you see above is one of only 8 Speedsters in the world to get this treatment, and only 3 US models.  Our inquiry to Strosek testifies that this car was built in-house, and they have complete documentation available to any potential owner. Don’t pass up this opportunity for the rarest 911s of all time. Gallery Presented by: See More Exotic Cars for Sale
