Upcoming New Porsche Taycan Model Breaks Previous Nürburg...

Porsche continues to raise the bar of electric performance. In the automotive world, the Nürburgring Nordschleife is one of the most revered, respected, and challenging tests of performance, engineering and skill, and a lap time on the feared track is one of the most irrefutable measures of excellence when it comes to both a car and its driver. As the industry’s sweeping transition to electrification enters full swing, electric vehicles are no exception when it comes to trial by Nürburging. In August 2022, Porsche took the Taycan Turbo S to the Nürburgring to test its mettle, and with a performance package, the electric sport sedan delivered incredibly impressive performance on the track. However, the legendary 75-year-old luxury performance manufacturer wasn’t satisfied with just that, and returned with a pre-series upcoming performance-focused model of the Taycan to improve the lap time even further. The pre-series track-focused Taycan not only became the fastest electric Porsche to take the track, but improved on the Taycan Turbo S’s lap time by an incredible 26 seconds, an immense gap in the world of racing. The lap time was 7:05.55, putting the pre-series Taycan model in the league of electric hypercars, and otherwise cementing its place in the revered realm of performance cars with low 7-minute times on the Nordschleife route. Represented in distance, that 26-second gap meant that when driver Lars Kern crossed the finish line in the new upcoming Taycan, he was almost a mile ahead of where he was in the Taycan Turbo S during its previous record run. With this new high-performance all-electric Porsche Taycan model on the horizon, it’s already proved its incredible track-focused performance in arguably the most spectacular way possible. While we are certainly anticipating more information about this new Porsche Taycan, we already have confirmation that among electric performance cars, it’s a force to be reckoned with on the track. These incredible cars are iconic, fast, rare, and unique. For any Porsche enthusiast or exotic car collector, there’s nothing quite like a Paint to Sample Porsche. With unique colors and an elevated degree of exclusivity, Paint to Sample cars make for some of the most precious gems in the Porsche world. However, when you combine a Porsche model that was rare in the first place with the enviable exclusivity of Paint to Sample, you get some of the most desirable Porsches ever, and that’s exactly what these four examples of the 997.2 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 3.8, in the private collection at Merit Partners are. Roughly 1,500 examples of the 997.2 generation of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 2.8 were delivered worldwide, with 612 examples built for the United States and Canada. However, only 46 of those were made with Paint to Sample configurations. Merit Partners has acquired 4 of those 46 examples for sale, representing nearly 10 percent of all of the US Paint to Sample 997.2 911 GT3 RS 3.8s made. RS Green was one of the communication colors for the 997.1 GT3 RS, however, it was only available as a Paint to Sample color for the 997.2 generation. This example is not only one of only two North American examples in this color, but it’s also the lowest-mileage PTS example existing with only 80 miles on its odometer. The beautiful Paint to Sample Riviera Blue adorns only 6 North American examples, and this one is the lowest mileage one with only 2,522 miles. It was modified with Porsche Motorsports OEM parts by Toronto-based Pfaff Motorsports before its first delivery. GT Silver Metallic is one of the most iconic colors in Porsche’s expansive library. Only five examples of the 997.2 GT3 RS 3.8 were made in this color, and Merit Partners has acquired the lowest-mileage one, with only 1,850 miles on its odometer. In addition, the car has never before been publicly seen or photographed. Introduced in the 997 generation, Meteor Grey is only featured on one 997.2 GT3 RS 3.8 in North America, and Merit Partners has acquired it, with only 1,088 miles on its odometer. Like the GT Silver example, the car has never before been seen or photographed publicly. With an incredible private collection, Merit Partners has added to it some of the most incredible existing Porsches, featuring ultra-rare Paint to Sample colors, incredibly low mileage, and of course the GT3 RS’s track-ready engineering and performance. 75 years into Porsche’s history, and 60 years into that of the 911, these four masterpieces celebrate the legendary legacy of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Porsche’s legacy as a whole. Porsche Explains The Benefit Of Individual Instruction At...

The Porsche Ice Experience lets you push the limits of performance. When it comes to the upcoming 2024 Porsche Ice Experience, the temperature drops, and the adrenaline rises. Attendees to the experience get to push Porsche’s greatest performance cars to the absolute limits of intense driving in snow and ice, and when it comes to the high-octane experience in low temperatures, individual training with an instructor allows participants to make the absolute most of the experience possible. One of those participants is Katarina Kyvalova, a hobby racer with a wide variety of driving talents. Whether it’s a 24-hour race in a pre-war Bentley, or experience at Goodwood and the Monaco Street Circuit, she has an impressive repertoire of racing experience, of which ice driving in an all-wheel drive performance car wasn’t a part. But with the help of Porsche Ice Experience instructor Jukka Honkavuori, that changed. Katarina sought out targeted training to learn to combat the same mistakes she tends to consistently make during ice driving, and behind the wheel of the incredibly powerful and dynamic Porsche 911 Turbo S, that became possible. Through the experience, Katarina got to learn how to drift the 911 Turbo S in the ice, and made unforgettable memories in the process. Whether it’s for racing knowledge, driving expertise, professional instruction, or just the bucket-list experience of driving high-performance cars in ice, the Porsche Ice Experience is an amazing time. Porsche Recaps Its 75th Anniversary Celebrations Across T...

Porsche celebrates three quarters of a century of automotive excellence. 2023 has been an amazing year for the entire automotive industry, but especially for Porsche. That’s because the year marked Porsche’s 75th anniversary since the introduction of the 356 in 1948. Since then, Porsche has dominated the world of luxury sports car design, engineering, and performance, and it was 60 years ago in 1963 when the 911 was first introduced. The incredible celebrations of Porsche’s 75th anniversary, and the 911’s 60th took place all over the world, and they showed the global and intense passion that Porsche fans have for the manufacturer to this day and looking towards the future. To cap off the incredible anniversary celebrations, Porsche recently looked back on the events that took place across the globe throughout the year. The Porsche Fest in Brazil featured 891 cars and 30,000 fans in attendance at the Interlagos race track in São Paulo. In addition, Eduardo Kobra painted a Porsche Taycan live at the event. In Switzerland, a birthday party for Porsche and the 911 took place from June 15-17 with a 250-mile road trip, which merged with the Mollis Porsche Festival. There, over 800 visitors got to see a gathering of over 1,500 cars. China held the Festival of Dreams, a record-breaking Porsche event with over 100,000 fans attending. Artistic and historic experiences were a part of the celebration, with the Canton Tower being lit up with a commemorative 75th-anniversary design. 400 customer Porsches gathered in the Cascais Marina in Portugal to celebrate the anniversary year. 30,000 fans attended the event, with a Porsche lifestyle fashion show and the opportunity to take the new Cayenne for a drive on an off-road course. Taiwan saw a celebration of the new 911 GT3 RS, as well as a celebration of Porsche’s involvement in the new Transformers: Rise of the Beasts film. Sweden held the Festival of Dreams in 12 different locations throughout the country. Over 12,000 people attended the event in total. In Puebla, Mexico, a 75th-anniversary celebration was held, featuring many of Porsche’s iconic models and even a historic Porsche tractor, and the event also raised funds for charitable causes. The Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK featured a host of Porsche anniversary celebrations. Historic Porsche race cars were in attendance climbing the legendary hill. Croatia also held a celebration, with one of the most iconic moments in it being a drone show lighting up the night sky with Porsche anniversary displays. Legendary racing drive Jacky Ickx was in attendance at the Porsche Experience Center in Tokyo for Japan’s anniversary celebrations, where the new 911 Dakar and Cayenne made their market debuts, and 600 cars were on display for 3,000 attendees. 1,236 Porsches descended on Italy’s Misano circuit for a Porsche anniversary celebration. A total of 4,000 laps of the course were driven, and the event coincided with two Porsche Carrera Cup races. Watch The Porsche 911 Dakar Race An Olympic Skier In The ...

Porsche’s new adventurous 911 braves the ice. The Porsche 911 Dakar is like no other production 911 before, boasting off-road ability and unique looks inspired by the rally-spec Porsche 911s that took on the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally in decades past. With the introduction of rally-oriented off-road performance to the production 911 lineup, Porsche has been showing off the new 911 Dakar’s incredible versatility since it was introduced. The latest test, which is seasonally appropriate, sees the 911 Dakar taking on the snow, and it’s a race. Instead of being against another car, however, the race is against a true downhill dynamo when it comes to winter sports: an Olympic gold medalist skier: Aksel Lund Svindal. The expertise level is evenly matched, as racing driver Jukka Honkavuori pilots the Porsche 911 Dakar. The man vs machine race was intense, with both the skier and the Porsche 911 Dakar confidently carving through the snowy slopes, kicking up an immense white cloud behind them as they raced to the bottom. However, the snowy race is just the beginning of a season of snowy spectacles for Porsche, as the race serves as a promotion for the 2024 Porsche Ice Experience, the upcoming 2024 season of the incredible event where Porsche enthusiasts and owners take to the vast, cold expanses to experience driving a high performance Porsche in the snow and ice, of course in a safe and controlled environment. Despite the low temperatures, the adrenaline level is high in both this epic race and at the upcoming Porsche Ice Experience. View All Porsche 911s For Sale Image Source: Porsche
