How To Buy Porsche Unseen: The Showcars By Stefan Bogner

Throughout time, as each era of Porsche excellence rolled off the production floor or left a race facility, enthusiasts of the brand were there to capture that moment and celebrate the milestone. Although, it is apparent that Porsche has and continues to develop some special vehicle projects that go unseen by the public eye. Author Stefan Bogner had granted permission to take exclusive photos at Porsche Design for his newest book titled Porsche Unseen: The Showcars. Inside the book are high-resolution photography and descriptions of an overwhelming number of designs and models that remain hidden from the public for various reasons. Porsche Unseen Highlights 15 Concepts That Should Have Be...

Driven by the optimism of a new millennium, many wild designs of the early aughts were given the green light. One brand decided to focus on customer satisfaction and reliability before all else, so Porsche Unseen highlights 15 concepts that should have been produced. Riding high on the successes of the Boxster and the Cayenne, the Porsche family tried to reclaim control of Volkswagen in a bitter family feud. Stylists won a big victory with the launch of the Carrera GT in 2004, and it gave them a blank check to build concepts for auto shows around the world. Along with the stories behind them, these 15 cars have been compiled into a new book by the Delius Klasing publishing house. To give us a preview of what's inside, Porsche uploaded hi-res imagery of the 919 Street, Vision Spyder, and the  Vision “Renndienst”. The first was a street-legal version of the 919 Hybrid that dominate LMP1 racing. The Vision Spyder is a modern 550 RS from last year, and the Renndienst is probably the only electric minivan aimed at family life. #PorscheUnseen Hints At Something Big

Perhaps one of the greatest discoveries is the power of restraint. Realizing the world is not ready for what you have discovered, the most difficult action is to hide the knowledge until such time that society can comprehend it. As the man once said, "There is nothing done in the dark that will not be seen in the light", and that is why #PorscheUnseen hints at something big. While we have seen teasers of two cars so far, Porsche has mentioned that all will be explained tomorrow. Considering they have had a decade of development since the 918 Spyder, we could be on the verge of something just as unprecedented. Stay with us for all your Porsche news as this story evolves. Porsche Sees Successful Year So Far Despite Pandemic

Even though the world has been fighting an ongoing pandemic, Porsche has been able to post some solid numbers throughout the first three quarters of 2020. In total, Porsche generated an operating result of 2.0 billion euros (~$2.3 billion USD). Porsche also notes they had a revenue of 19.4 billion euros (~$22.5 billion USD_ which was a 10.4 percent return on sales. While the operating result was down by 28 percent when you compare it to last year's numbers, Porsche is satisfied considering the situation the entire world is facing every day.  “Our young, attractive product portfolio appeals to customers. I’m optimistic about the coming months,” says Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board at Porsche AG. “The new 911 and our electric sports car, the Taycan, impressively demonstrate our innovative strength, and their sales figures have exceeded our expectations.”  For these first three quarters, Porsche delivered a total of 191,547 cars to customers around the globe, a five percent decrease compared to 2019. Interestingly enough, the Chinese market has been a source of success for Porsche as they have delivered a total of62,823 cars to China. Getting down to models, 25,400 units of the 911 were delivered and 11,000 units of the Taycan. See All Porsches For Sale

Porsche Taycan Will Now Have Apple Podcasts and Apple Mus...

Last year, the Porsche Taycan was graced with the integration of Apple music thanks to a collaborative effort between Porsche and Apple. Now, that partnership has been taken a step further as the brands have announced yet another integration for the Taycan. On the touchscreen of the electric Taycan, the user can access Apple Podcasts thanks to full integration of the service. This means all of the 1.5+ million podcasts can be accessed on a whim with minimal effort. In addition to this integration, Apple Music will now support Time-Synced Lyrics on the passenger-side display. Why on the passenger-side display? Because the driver isn't supposed to be reading while driving, duh. Instead, the driver will get to listen to their passenger's singing. “The Taycan embodies the pioneering spirit of Porsche – as the first all-electric car from Zuffenhausen. It sets benchmarks within the context of digitalization and sustainability – and this also applies to the interior,” says Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG. “The new Apple Music and Apple Podcast offerings expand the emotional driving experience with the Taycan with a seamlessly integrated digital feature for music lovers. There is more to come." See All Porsche Taycans For Sale
