Rimac Automobili Founder Mate Rimac Takes Delivery Of His...

Mate Rimac finally takes delivery of his own hypercar! Being the mastermind behind the hypercar manufacturer that set 23 performance world records in a single day, there's no doubt that Rimac Automobili Founder Mate Rimac has developed the perfect hypercar with the Nevera. With nothing but positive reviews and responses from owners and enthusiasts lucky enough to experience the thrill of 1,914 horsepower, the time has finally come for Mate Rimac to take delivery of his very own Nevera. Now, 15 years later, after starting with only a dream, Rimac Automobili is proud to deliver an incredible Nevera spec to its Founder, Mate Rimac. With its timeless design, the Nevera sports any color combination like a track champion. Mate worked closely with the in-house color and trim team on several bespoke liveries with dual-tone finishes. The chosen configuration was actually Mate's original vision, showcasing a full carbon body tinted in red, bespoke red anodized badging, and natural bare-carbon exterior accents. His inspiration behind the spec comes from the hypercar's natural materials and the need to display them in all their beauty. The Nevera's body features a Carbon 3 finish that layers the fibers in a very specific direction across each body panel to match the car's geometry. Incredibly proud of Rimac Group's home country of Croatia, Mate had Croatian flags hand-painted onto each side mirror, and a custom-designed lightning motif under the rear wing as a nod to Mediterranian storms called "Nevera." Opening the Rimac Nevera's butterfly doors reveals a cabin finished in a combination of Napa leather and Alcantara, offering a modern and elegant mix of timeless styles. Dual-tone sport seats for the driver and passenger are fashioned in a red and black reverse design, with "K8" and "M8" stitched into each headrest. Living the ultimate dream of taking delivery of his very own Rimac Nevera, Mate Rimac expresses his excitement and gratitude by saying, "It's kind of a crazy experience to be a customer of your own company, and I probably wasn't the easiest customer either. Just like with all our customers – there was a process of co-creation; sharing ideas, evolving them and then finally perfecting them until you have a Nevera that stands alone and speaks to you personally. The result not only looks great but it tells an important story for me." The Rimac Nevera's powertrain is nothing short of electrifying. With a whopping 1,914 horsepower generated from its four electric motors, the hypercar rockets from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.85 seconds. The Nevera's performance is mind-blowing, thanks to its advanced torque vectoring system that ensures each wheel gets exactly the right amount of power for optimal handling. Whether he's tearing up the track or cruising city streets, Mate Rimac will most definitely enjoy daily driving his new Nevera hypercar. Rimac Introduces A New 8-Year Warranty For Nevera Batteries

Rimac’s new warranty gives hypercar owners confidence in electric power. The new Rimac Nevera marks a turning point in the hypercar world, introducing a revolutionary new electric contender to the hypercar world, with performance and engineering that’s broken records and pushed the envelope of what electric cars and hypercars alike are capable of. However, Rimac has made a move that reaffirms its confidence in the technology and innovation that it’s incorporated into the Nevera: an 8-year warranty on its battery. The lasting performance of the battery is one of the primary concerns of electric car ownership, as batteries can lose capacity over time. However, Rimac’s new 8-year warranty for the battery guarantees the performance of the Nevera’s battery for 8 years with unlimited mileage covered The new warranty will not only cover the remaining number of the 150 Rimac Nevera hypercars that are still yet to be produced and delivered, but also the cars that have already been delivered to clients. This adds an additional seven years of coverage on the advanced liquid-cooled 120kWh battery to their cars. The guarantee stipulates that at the end of the warranty period, the battery should still have 75% of its total charging capacity, and with that level of confidence behind its technology, the new Rimac Nevera is changing conventions in the exotic car world. Rimac Nevera Breaks World Record For Fastest Speed In Rev...

Rimac Nevera sets a new Guinness World Record for the fastest speed in reverse, hitting 171.34mph. The Rimac Nevera has done it again, shattering yet another record, but this time with a twist – achieving a blistering speed going backwards. This electric hypercar, already notorious for its incredible acceleration, has claimed the title for the fastest speed in reverse, as verified by Guinness World Records. In the annals of automotive excellence, speed records have always held a place of reverence. The Lamborghini Miura set hearts racing in 1967 as it pierced through the 170mph barrier, becoming the world's fastest production car of its time. Decades later, the Rimac Nevera laughs in the face of such historical benchmarks by hitting the same speeds – in reverse. The stage for this unconventional feat was the Automotive Testing Papenburg facility in Germany, a proving ground for many of Nevera's awe-inspiring performances. Dressed in its exclusive Time Attack Edition livery – a garb shared by only a dozen units worldwide – the Nevera ripped through to a top speed of 171.34mph (275.74km/h) in reverse, an act just as thrilling as its forward-facing heroics. The Rimac Nevera's drivetrain is a marvel of modern engineering, utilizing a quartet of electric motors that propel the car with an uninterrupted surge of power. This design allows for the same heart-stopping acceleration in reverse as it does going forward, proving that the Nevera is a force to be reckoned with, regardless of the direction it's traveling. Matija Renić, Nevera Chief Program Engineer at Bugatti Rimac, shared that while the team humorously speculated about the car's backward potential, they never seriously considered it until now. And despite the vehicle not being optimized for reverse aerodynamics, cooling, or stability, Rimac's test driver Goran Drndak navigated this uncharted journey with skill, setting a new precedent in the process. The Nevera's groundbreaking performance isn't confined to this latest record. At the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed, it dominated the Supercar Shootout, clocking a time of 49.32 seconds. Not content with this, the electric leviathan stormed the Nürburgring, smashing the previous EV production lap record by an astonishing 20 seconds, with Croatian racing ace Martin Kodrić at the wheel. The Nevera Time Attack livery is not just for show; it's a badge of honor, signifying a legacy of performance that spans back to the e-M3, Mate Rimac's first electric trailblazer, an electric conversion of an old BMW 3 Series. This unique green hue, reminiscent of the charged atmosphere before a storm, is more than a color – it's a symbol of the storm of innovation Rimac brings to the automotive world. In a year of breaking records and setting new benchmarks, the Rimac Nevera's latest achievement stands out as a testament to the relentless pursuit of pushing boundaries. It is a statement that in the world of Rimac, even the rearview mirror can be a window to the future. View All Exotic Cars For Sale Image Source: Rimac Automobili

From the serene Lake Bled to the Austrian Alps and beyond, the Nevera glided effortlessly, displaying a serene composure against nature's unpredictability – be it storms, rain, or winding mountain roads. This tour was a demanding test of endurance and performance, and the Nevera passed with flying colors. Driving through the Aosta Valley, the Rimac Nevera's power and precision were on full display, tackling the relentless hairpins and challenging terrains with aplomb. In its stride, the Nevera moved from the rugged landscapes of the Alps to the sophistication of Geneva, then through the historic Loire Valley, and down to the sun-drenched Riviera. Rimac's partnership with IONITY is strategic and ambitious, aiming to redefine the boundaries of electric mobility. The pairing of the Nevera with IONITY’s rapid and reliable charging network is an open invitation to explore long-distance travel without the traditional constraints of electric vehicles. Moreover, Nevera owners are now privy to eight years of unlimited free charging across IONITY's expansive network, spanning 24 European countries. This tour was not just a showcase of raw electric hypercar power; it was a statement of the possibilities in sustainable grand touring. IONITY's network played a pivotal role in this, offering more than 500 stations equipped with high-power charging technology, designed to fuel long-distance travels across Europe’s diverse topographies. The Rimac Nevera, in synergy with IONITY's network, has shown that an all-electric hypercar can conquer extensive road trips with ease, comfort, and speed. Mate Rimac, the visionary behind this creation, emphasizes that the Rimac Nevera and IONITY partnership signifies a leap into a realm of electric mobility once thought unattainable. The message is clear: with the right technology and infrastructure, the future of grand touring is electric, and it is here. View All Exotic Cars For Sale Image Source: Rimac Automobili
