Last December, Rock Island Auction Company celebrated the grand opening of its new Bedford facility with the largest firearms auction in Texas history. Capitalizing on this momentum, the world’s number one firearms auction house has announced a May 17th through 19th auction, the first of three blockbuster Premier Auction events slated for 2024 in the company’s state-of-the-art Texas venue.
May highlights include pinnacle pieces documented to President Gerald R. Ford, President Theodore Roosevelt, General George Armstrong Custer, Buffalo Bill Cody, and more. The auction will also feature over 30 artisan European firearms from the Norman R. Blank Collection, a curated grouping of military vehicles from the Allan Cors Collection, and exhibition quality masterworks like a cased Le Page-Moutier percussion shotgun presented to Mexican President Manuel Gonzales Flores by French President Jules Grevy.

Anyone who appreciates history, artistry, craftsmanship, and the rising investment potential fine arms have achieved in the collectibles marketplace is invited this May to Rock Island Auction Company’s new facility at 3600 Harwood Rd., Bedford, Texas, the finest brick-and-mortar auction facility of its kind. The three-day auction is preceded by a preview day at 10 a.m. on Thursday May 16th, where the public is invited to examine any of the nearly 2,100 lots displayed in the venue’s 19,000-square-foot preview hall.
For those unable to attend in person, bids can be faxed, emailed, phoned in, or submitted at rockislandauction.com. The website also livestreams each auction and hosts the company’s online bidding platform, Rock Island Auction Live, allowing any determined collector to participate in May’s milestone event, a celebration of arms collecting at its most prestigious and exclusive level.
