Leave it to Porsche to literally reinvent the wheel. After building the world's largest radial loom, the base of their new carbon fiber wheel is woven from 11 miles of carbon fiber thread. It looks like a Stargate, except it's probably more expensive. The aftermarket makes great products, but only Porsche chooses to invest millions of dollars to make wheels that are 20% lighter and 20% stronger than any others. Before they go into the autoclave, each wheel is made of 200 individual pieces of dry carbon. If you are wondering if they will fit on your car, the Porsche 911 Turbo has a bolt pattern of 5x130mm. But the Turbo S has center-lock wheels with one large lug nut.
