Watch collectors and enthusiasts can agree that beauty lies in the mechanics ticking away beneath the surface. Others believe the dial that deserves the spotlight, being it’s the first thing you notice and the face that gives each watch its own personality. Audemars Piguet has added five new watches to its Royal Oak and Code 11.59 collections. Three models use the brand’s Supersonnerie minute repeater, while the other two feature natural stone dials. The releases include new material and dial combinations for the Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie, another version of the Code 11.59 Minute Repeater Supersonnerie, and a pair of 38mm Code 11.59 Selfwinding models. The three minute repeaters are powered by Audemars Piguet’s Calibre 2953. AP first introduced its Supersonnerie technology in 2015, using patented gongs, a specially designed soundboard, and a silent regulator to improve the minute repeater’s sound. The 42mm Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie now comes in two versions. One features a titanium case with a smoked green sunburst dial, while the other pairs an 18-carat pink gold case with a brown Grande Tapisserie dial. The third chiming watch is a new version of the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Minute Repeater Supersonnerie, a model first introduced in 2023. Its case is made from 18-carat white gold, with polished surfaces throughout the middle section. A smoked sapphire dial provides a partial view of Calibre 2953, while the minute track and small seconds counter feature details created through galvanic growth. The other two releases focus on style rather than sound. Both measure 38mm and belong to the Code 11.59 Selfwinding collection. The first combines an 18-carat yellow gold case with a gold obsidian dial, whose natural mineral inclusions reflect light across its dark surface. The second uses an 18-carat pink gold case and a polished black onyx dial, finished with baguette-cut diamond hour markers. Audemars Piguet’s newest releases are now available at authorized boutiques worldwide starting at $57,500.
