Audemars Piguet’s history as a horological mastermind has always extended far beyond watches, diversifying its creativity through other industries and artists that find common ground within watchmaking. Today, Audemars Piguet just expanded its lineup even further with the debut of a limited-edition Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon in collaboration with Yoon and Verbal. Launched during an exclusive event at FUTURA in Bukchon, South Korea, the debut welcomed celebrities like Hailey Bieber, A$AP Nast, Ejae, Arón Piper, Soo‑hyuk Lee, Winnie Harlow, and Irene Kim.
Together, as a creative powerhouse, Yoon Ahn and Verbal have put themselves at the center of high-end fashion, hip-hop, and street culture through the birth of their Tokyo-based fashion label, AMBUSH, making the two a perfect choice to partner with AP. The Royal Oak Concept stands out as one of Audemars Piguet’s most coveted creations, and this special edition, limited to 150 pieces worldwide, features a 38.5mm case crafted from titanium and showcases a mix of sandblasted, satin-brushed, and polished surfaces.
A shimmering black aventurine dial opens to the core of the movement, Audemars Piguet’s in-house Caliber 2892, a hand-wound flying tourbillon movement positioned at 6 o’clock. Its sapphire caseback offers a secondary view of the mechanism in action, while the bezel is laser-etched with Yoon and Verbal’s logo to signify its ultra-exclusive collaboration with Audemars Piguet.
One of the most refreshing aspects of the Royal Oak Concept is that AP chooses to fit its most complex piece with a comfortable rubber strap as a way to encourage collectors to wear it daily rather than stuff it away in a watchbox. Along with an interchangeable black rubber strap with a “micro-mosaic” pattern and quilted inner imprint, the watch comes with an additional, matching red rubber strap. The all-new Audemars Piguet x Yoon and Verbal Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon is now available at AP boutiques worldwide, priced at $225,000.
