Bulova Marks 150 Years with Limited-Edition Shelby Racing...

Bulova celebrates 150 years with a limited-edition chronograph inspired by the 1967 Shelby GT500. Bulova is celebrating its 150th anniversary by unveiling a new limited-edition Shelby Racing Chronograph that pays tribute to both its racing history and one of America's most iconic muscle cars. Officially licensed and visually inspired by the 1967 Shelby GT500, the watch combines Carroll Shelby's unmistakable design with Bulova's Precisionist movement, offering a watch that highlights 150 years of watchmaking. Limited to 7,500 pieces worldwide, it's now available with a special presentation box that includes a 1:24 scale die-cast model of the GT500. Bulova's connection to motorsports runs deep. As the official timekeeper for NASCAR and IndyCar events during the 1960s and 1970s, the New York-based brand has certainly earned a reputation in the industry. The Shelby Racing Chronograph carries that spirit forward with a 43mm silver-tone stainless steel bullhead case, a black tachymeter ring, and a sapphire crystal dial window for durability. Shelby's signature blue and white colorway appears on the strap and dial accents, while the Cobra logo is proudly displayed at the 3 o'clock register. More than just tech specs, the watch embodies Bulova's heritage. From its early beginnings in Lower Manhattan in 1875 to its modern standing as a New York icon, the brand has continually pushed the boundaries of watchmaking. The limited-edition Shelby Racing Chronograph integrates that tradition with automotive history, honoring Carroll Shelby's vision and the legendary GT500 in a wearable, functional tribute. Turning Junker Mustangs Into Limited Watches

Mustang fans looking for a new watch need to look no further because your dream timepiece is right here. REC Watches, a watchmaker based in Denmark, has been taking Ford Mustangs that are destined to be scrapped and turning them into one-off watches that any pony car fan would adore.“Most people would just see a pile of metal, a ghost of a Mustang. We see something completely different – the soul of a car and a story that needs to be told,” said co-founder Christian Mygh. “I’m not cutting up Mustangs. I’m bringing Mustangs that are beyond repair back to life as a watch.”Both co-founders, Mygh and Jonathan Kamstrup, check salvage yards all around the world for Mustangs that can be turned into their specialty watches. Once a car is found, they look into the history of the car by talking to previous owners, gathering stories and pictures of the car's prime days. Once they have everything together they turn it all into a video that's dedicated to the car and the watches that come from it.The watches have been popular enough that Vaughn Gittin Jr., the Mustang Madman, wears one of these watches that includes carbon fiber body from his 700 hp World Drift Series Ford Mustang RTR.Timepieces created by REC Watches start at $1,495.
