Cadillac adds another electric performance car to its lineup.
Cadillac has been at a turning point in its rich history for the past few years, with a rapidly expanding lineup of electric vehicles and increasing ambitions in the racing world, with a goal of entering the prestigious Formula 1 grid. However, at the intersection of Cadillac’s increasing performance ambitions and its electrification journey is a future of new electric performance models within the Cadillac V-Series.
The first V-Series electric model was the Cadillac Lyriq-V, which entered the scene with a splash by being the quickest road-going Cadillac model yet. With immense horsepower and performance-oriented tweaks, the Lyriq-V marked the beginning of a new era for Cadillac performance cars. However, Cadillac wasn’t ready to stop there, as the historic luxury manufacturer has also announced a second electric V-Series model, the Optiq-V.
Announced for the 2026 model year, the new Cadillac Optiq-V is set to be a part of the V-Series’ fifth-generation portfolio. With the Optiq’s existing agility and electric platform serving as the basis, the new Optiq-V is set to be an exciting new entry to Cadillac’s expanding lineup of performance cars in the near future.
