Cadillac’s new show car is ready to show off what the future of the brand will look like.
The CELESTIQ is Cadillac’s new vision of its future, which honors over a century of history that Cadillac has under its belt, and simultaneously showing the potential for what Cadillac can bring to the table with new technology, including an electric powertrain, a 55-inch-diagonal display, and a Smart Glass Roof that is able to vary the lighting level in four individual zones so that each passenger can enjoy their preferred level of light in the cabin.

With a design inspired by Cadillac’s early V16-powered sedans, the famous Eldorado, and other iconic Cadillac cars, the CELESTIQ brings their dedication to being the pinnacle of American luxury to the future with GM’s Ultium-based EV architecture. However, it’s not even just the car itself that will honor Cadillac’s history. GM plans to create a production version of the CELESTIQ, and the availability and further details of it are to be announced further. When it is in production, GM will have invested $81 million in GM’s Global Technical center for its assembly, which is the group’s landmark campus designed by architect Eero Saarinen, whose mid-century architecture also served as an inspiration for the design of the car. The production version of the CELESTIQ will be the first vehicle to be built there since the site’s inauguration in May 1956.
