Cadillac ushers in another electric performance model.
Cadillac’s performance-oriented V-Series, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, entered a new chapter not only when the Opulent Velocity Concept envisioned an electric future of the V-Series, but especially when the introduction of the Cadillac Lyriq-V made that vision a reality. However, Cadillac announced that yet another model would be joining the lineup of electric V-Series cars: the new 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V.
Already confirmed earlier, Cadillac is now fully unveiling the new Cadillac Optiq-V, showcasing its smaller luxury electric SUV meant for younger drivers in a performance-oriented variant. With ample electric power, the Optiq-V, despite its smaller footprint, is capable of producing an estimated 519 horsepower and 650lb/ft of torque. In addition, that power gives the new Optiq-V the ability to get from 0 to 60 in an estimated 3.5 seconds.
Production of the new Cadillac Optiq-V is set to start this fall, and marking a major milestone in the EV world, as the first of GM’s electric vehicles to feature a native North American Charging Standard inlet, offering ease of use for a variety of charging options, with the estimated 275 miles of range from its 85-kWh battery.
Features like V-Mode for extra performance settings like launch control and Competitive mode, as well as front brake calipers from Brembo, enhance the performance-oriented character of the new Optiq-V. Starting at $68,795, the new Cadillac Optiq-V builds Cadillac’s performance legacy even further.
