Corvettes at Indianapolis are like peanut butter and jelly. Chevrolet has offered 30 unique pace cars since 1948, and the Corvette has held the honor for 16 of those races. I was lucky enough to find a 2007 example, #48 of the driver introduction cars. Since then we have seen various examples of the Z06, Grand Sport and ZR1 lead the field, so get ready for an amazing race on next Sunday. That’s because the 2020 Corvette Z51 has been unveiled as the Indy 500 Pace Car. It is the 17th Corvette to hold the honors, so we hope they offer a few examples to the public. But due to the car’s demand, they are still filling orders from months ago. Click the button to find your Corvette, and stay with us for all your Chevy news.
