The C8 Corvette Z06 is one of the best Corvettes ever made. The C8 Z06 top speed is 195 MPH, thanks to a 650-horsepower engine. Furthermore, the C8 Z06 0-60 is 2.6 seconds, which is way above rivals in the same category. The C8 Corvette Z06 specs don’t just stop with a strong engine and impressive performance: it’s got a great design to boot. The Corvette Z06 has a beautiful design, with a menacing front and aggressive ducts. Instead of featuring an old-fashioned 7-speed transmission, it will have an 8-speed gearbox with paddle shifters. C8 Z06 Specs

The 2023 Z06 is GM’s flagship sports car, and its goal was to give drivers the best combination of quality and performance possible. After two years on the market, the Chevrolet has ironed out all the flaws and is now the market’s most advanced and performance-oriented option.

There has never been a more direct conversion of a track vehicle into a street vehicle than with the C8.R Corvette acting as the building foundation for the Z06 chassis. The new LT6 flat-plane-crank V-8 puts out more power per unit of weight than any previous Z06, making the 2023 Z06 the most potent Z06 ever produced. The C8 Z06 ¼ mile time is only 10.6 seconds.

The C8.R was known as “the Z06 lurking in plain sight” within Corvette Racing. This vehicle also features a flat-plane crank and titanium intake valves.

C8 Z06 Engine

Handcrafted by Chevy, the LT6 is one of the most exciting new engines in at least a decade. This 5.5-liter engine with a DOHC is the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 ever installed between the fenders of a production car, and it sounds like a race car engine let wild on the street. This flat-plane-crank engine produces 670 hp and 460 pound-feet of torque without forced induction while spinning at a great 8,600 revolutions per minute.

It’s not debatable that this engine is practical, given those numbers, but there is room for argument over its foundations. The LT6 is considered a small-block engine by GM’s engineers, continuing a tradition that began in 1955. This new V8 indeed has the same 4.4-inch bore spacing as Chevy’s legendary “mouse motor,” but other than that primary metric, everything else is different.

C8 Z06 Transmission

The 2023 Corvette Z06 includes an upgraded C8 Z06 automatic transmission. The Tremec T R9080 eight-speed dual-clutch transmission features a revised clutch pack and carbon fiber paddle shifters for increased torque capacity. It also has a reinforced outer shell to accommodate greater lateral loads. A larger oil pan is housed in a modified bell housing, allowing Chevrolet to provide the Z06 with track-appropriate transmission fluid levels. The Corvette Z06 eight-speed transmission also boasts a larger diameter output shaft flange to accommodate the high-strength axle shafts. The shafts have a final drive ratio of 5.56:1.

C8 Z06 Interior

The C8 Z06 Interior features new color schemes and interior upgrades. This interior has an Adrenaline Red Dipped package that carries the seat color to the dash, headliner, door panels, and carpet. When it comes to Z06 interior options, there are seven interior options. The new, more comprehensive carbon-fiber interior trim is the most preferred among car enthusiasts. This package extends the weave to the door panels, the upper and lower edges of the steering wheel, and the dashboard. You can still have the lighter carbon package, and there’s also an option for stealthy aluminum accents that dull down the shiny metalwork. You can also have the door panels and headliner of the Coupe with quilted stitching.

C8 Z06 Brakes

Brembo brakes are standard for C8 Z06 Brakes, with optional carbon-ceramic brakes. Braking is also upgraded over the base model Stingray, with 6-piston front/4-piston rear brakes. Customers can order J56 brake calipers in Black, Edge Red, Edge Yellow, and Bright Red.

Carbon Ceramic Brakes are available to Performance Package buyers and replace the standard iron rotors with larger Brembo carbon ceramic rotors (15.7 inches in front and 15.4 inches in the rear). Carbon ceramic brake rotors are incredibly light and can be more wear-resistant than iron rotors, but they are more expensive to replace. Customers can order J57 brake calipers in Harbor Grey, Edge Yellow, Edge Red, Bright Red, and the newly introduced Edge Orange. The Z06 will also offer these as a separate option.

C8 Z06 Standout Features

The Z06 is 3.6 inches wider than the Stingray, with several features that set it apart from its rivals. The car’s good looks are the first thing people notice. The Z06 has to be one of the most beautiful Corvettes ever made. The front splitter, side skirts, and large, high-mounted carbon fiber wing in the back make for a very aggressive-looking aerodynamic package. Remember that this vehicle is far more track-focused than a regular C8. Since its launch, the car’s menacing appearance has been met with universal praise from the automotive industry.

The incredible noise the flat-plane V8 engine makes as it nears redline and the carbon fiber ground effects make driving one of these cars an unforgettable experience. When the top is down, performance is not compromised, thanks to the sleek integration of the retractable hardtop roof into the overall body design.

The C8 Z06 tires are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The Z06 has five eight-wheel options that come standard on the front and rear. For any Corvette, these are the most prominent wheels you can get. This beauty also features bigger tires, a wider stance, a carbon-fiber steering wheel, and Magnetic Ride Control 4.0™.

An 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is integrated into the Corvette’s multilayered dashboard. It comes standard with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Also, two different Bose speakers are provided as standard, and a 14-speaker system is an option. The Z06 also includes a Performance Data Recorder (PDR), which lets you record videos of everything from track escapades to leisurely country-road excursions. In addition, if you must leave your C8 Z06 with a valet, you can activate a feature that records any suspicious actions by the attendant.

C8 Z06 Comfort & Quality

The Corvette’s cabin is well-built with high-quality materials, and the supportive seats help keep drivers stable on the track. To make driving a Chevrolet as simple as possible, the ca features a Lateral G-Force 1.22 G with the option of snug sports seats or even snugger seats. Two people can fit inside comfortably, and the cabin has plenty of room for both to stretch out. A center buttress separates the driver and passenger and houses the air conditioning controls.

The driver sits farther than in earlier front-engine Corvettes, giving them a better view down the short hood and out the car’s doors. Unfortunately, the Coupe’s back window is obscured by the roof and the engine cover; thus, rearward visibility is poor. That’s helpful information for driver positioning during high-performance maneuvers.

C8 Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition

After eight generations and 70 years, the Corvette finally has a mid-engine configuration. The iconic Plastic Fantastic has reached a significant milestone, and Chevy would like to celebrate (just a bit). No changes have been made to the driving experience, which, considering how the C8 drives, is not much of an issue. However, there is a beautiful coating of exclusive features and special touches, like other anniversary special editions.

The good news is that the Z06 and Stingray are launching their 70th anniversary as a Convertible. Two Unique exterior colors – Satin Grey Stripe Carbon Glitter Metallic and White Pearl Tri-Coat Metallic are part of the package. You can opt for red seat belts and a ceramic white leather interior with red stitching. Not unique enough for you, I think?

Chevy doesn’t skimp where it counts, as evidenced by the presence of badging and other special edition-specific extras. The 70th-anniversary versions will be easily recognizable thanks to the 70th Anniversary flags and side badging. Seats, door sills, and the steering wheel will all include an anniversary edition emblem to remind you that you’re driving a special edition of the brand. This anniversary edition also features Red Stripe Wheels with 70th Anniversary wheel center caps.

Z07 Performance Package

What’s included in the C8 Z06 Z07 package? The Z07 package was designed to make the Z06 a track-dominating beast. The package’s design prioritized speed to cut down on lap times. You receive a friendlier, more enjoyable-to-drive sports car when you choose the package and feel more connected to the vehicle.

The Z07 Performance package does more than make the Z06 look better; it also enhances the Vette’s driving dynamics. First, the package includes carbon fiber components, with a more prominent front splitter, front-corner dive planes, rear wing, and underbody strakes. The Z07 tires are aerodynamic, coupled with a one-of-a-kind FE7 suspension, tuned to perfection with Magnetic Ride Control 4.0. This package also includes carbon fiber wheels and Z07 carbon ceramic brakes with the most prominent front and rear rotors ever seen on a Corvette: 15.7 inches (398 mm) and 15.4 inches (391 mm), respectively. These Z07 carbon-fiber wheels are 41 lbs. lighter. The C8 Z07 package price is $8,995.

The C8 Z06 might very well be the pinnacle of Corvette design. The Z06 stands out from its primary sibling and is unique thanks to its 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. The C8 has rewritten the book on what a Corvette is capable of, and its wild nature has startled many. And that’s without even mentioning the multitude of add-ons available to buyers of the vehicle.
