Chrysler’s newest concept foretells an electrified future.

Chrysler is one of the most iconic names in the American automotive industry, and its concept cars are also some of the most iconic. Whether it’s the performance-inspired Firepower or ME Four-Twelve of the 2000s, or the more recent Airflow and Portal, Chrysler’s concepts envision incredible innovation and leave those who see them excited for the future potential of the automotive and mobility worlds.

The newest concept from Chrysler, the Halcyon, is the latest in envisioning Chrysler’s electric future, which is on the horizon and quickly approaching. The first BEV from Chrysler is set to be launched in 2025, and the Halcyon showcases much of the technology Chrysler hopes to implement. With a sweeping, aerodynamic silhouette, the low-slung four-door is designed to be exciting, efficient, and practical all at once.

Dramatics come in the form of a butterfly-hinged canopy in combination with coach-style rear doors, as well as 22-inch wheels. However, the most central idea to the new Halcyon concept’s design is serenity and ease of use, with its STLA Large Platform enabling Level 4 Autonomous Driving, and the concept of wireless vehicle charging enabling theoretically unlimited driving range.

Practicality and luxury can be seen in a potential future form of Stow ‘n Go seats, with rear seats that retract into the trunk, freeing up extra space in the back. The interior is both luxurious and sustainable, making use of recycled and environmentally-friendly materials. With this new concept being unveiled, the electrified future of Chrysler and the automotive industry as a whole looks more intriguing than before.
