MINI has just unveiled a new concept vehicle that could easily pass as a mobile living room. The new MINI Vision Urbanaut is a wild concept that honestly looks like it came right out of the 70s. I say this not only because of its design but also because of how popular these kinds of “livable” vehicles were back then. When designing the Urbanaut, the team actually created the interior before the exterior. This allowed them to create an interior that will be perfect for any road trip. Upfront is a driver’s area that can be converted into a daybed by lowering the dashboard. The front seats can also be rotated so they can face the rear. In the rear is the “Cosy Corner” that’s highlighted by a textile-covered “Loop” that goes over the seat bench that can be optioned with LED backlighting. This would be the perfect spot to sit back, relax and enjoy a book. There’s no word on this vehicle becoming a production vehicle, but we’ll keep you updated if there’s any word of such a move.
