Czinger’s new documentary showcases an epic streak of hypercar domination.
The 21C has spent the past few years turning Los Angeles-based hypercar manufacturer Czinger Vehicles into a household name among automotive enthusiasts. Thanks to its bold, cutting-edge engineering and manufacturing techniques, its defiant approach to design, and the use of technologies like AI and 3D printing employed throughout, Czinger Vehicles is taking on the world’s hypercar giants with a decidedly futuristic approach to performance, one that has proved successful on the track before.
Already, the 21C, along with its V MAX and Blackbird variants, has been shaking up the hypercar scene, but to demonstrably show off its performance mettle, the Czinger 21C has been snatching lap record after lap record on race tracks all over the map. Just ahead of this year’s Monterey Car Week, one of the world’s most prestigious automotive gatherings where the world’s highest echelons of luxury cars, supercars, exotic cars, hypercars, classics, and more come together to celebrate and create automtive excellence, Czinger took the 21C on an epic adventure across California to snag five racetrack lap records in as many days, a feat that was officially announced at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.
Reminiscent of something straight out of Gone In 60 Seconds, the Czinger 21C’s 1,000-mile journey across California has been captured beautifully in a new documentary called California Gold Rush, which premiered at Sunset Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, and which is now available to watch on Czinger’s YouTube channel.
The street-legal hypercar, which has more than 1,250 horsepower on tap and is limited to just 80 units, started its journey to California track domination in the northern part of the state, starting at Thunderhill, then going to Sonoma Raceway, Laguna Seca, Willow Springs, and finally taking on The Thermal Club. At each track, the 21C shaved 3.39 seconds, 0.7 seconds, 0.36 seconds, 1.35 seconds, and and incredible 10.33 seconds of the previous records respectively.
The 25-minute documentary also captures the many moments that took place in between each record lap, like stops at California icons like In-N-Out Burger, the Golden Gate Bridge, Blackbird Airpark, and the Box Canyon Road.
Directed by Luca Brinciotti, the documentary transparently and beautifully tells the story of the many ups and downs of the journey, as well, like hitting a tire wall at Laguna Seca, having to tear down and rebuild the car overnight, and of course, the incredible triumphant lap times set by Czinger development driver Joel Miller. As Czinger pushes the entire automotive industry boldly towards the future, its 21C hypercar is the star of a new documentary that showcases its incredible success and the humanity behind its excellence. California Gold Rush is available to watch now on Czinger’s YouTube channel.
