With only two in existence, this may be the most collectible BMW ever made!
The iconic colors of BMW’s M-Performance division tell a tale of historic success in the world of motorsports, engineering track-inspired sports cars for both commuting and competing. While every BMW M car shines in its own way, the legendary M1 carries significance as it was originally developed as a homologation special for Group 5 racing. Always in the pursuit of sourcing the most pristine examples of automotive excellence, the team at CURATED of Miami, FL is proud to showcase one of the rarest BMW M1 examples in the world. With only 455 chassis designed by Gianpaolo Dallara and built by the same Italian firm responsible for the Miura and Countach, this BMW M1 stands out as only 1-of-2 produced. The reason for its extreme exclusivity comes courtesy of its factory Black finish, of which it shares the market with only one other in existence.
As part of BMW’s illustrious history, the black M1 supercar underwent a complete restoration with the collector car specialists at Canepa, totaling $198,000. The 80s driver-centric interior remains in showroom condition with its period-correct black leather and fabric cabin deisgn. A rear-mounted 3.5L naturally-aspirated six-cylinder is responsible for delivering a whopping 277 horsepower to its rear wheels, managed by a 5-speed manual transmission. Now looking for a new forever home, CURATED is proud to offer the BMW M1 as an example ready to be driven or displayed as a Concours-level show car.
