For years, Monterey Car Week has been the ultimate destination for car enthusiasts in the United States. But a growing number of collectors and industry figures are now also looking east to the Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week in Rhode Island. Now in its fifth year, the event has gradually evolved into one of the nation’s most polished automotive gatherings, all while still keeping its approachable, community-driven spirit intact.
This year’s edition kicked off on Thursday, October 2, 2025, and concludes later today. Some of the most prominent automotive personalities from the United States, including Jay Leno, Donald Osborne, Jonny Lieberman, and Magnus Walker, were in attendance.
But there’s a deeper story about Newport. This Concours is a social and lifestyle event where collectors mingle, along with Wine by the Water, the Tour d’Elegance through historic Bellevue Avenue, Seminars, and the concours itself, set against Newport’s spectacular Gilded Age mansions and colonial structures, built in the 1800s. This city, in fact, once hosted America’s earliest automobile races, organized by the Vanderbilts, and its streets still carry that legacy.
Another hallmark of the event is inclusivity. The “30 Under 30” class celebrates young enthusiasts who’ve restored a car for under $30,000. The cars may not all be concours royalty, but they still capture the heart of car culture: passion, craftsmanship, and preservation, in turn becoming a proving ground for the next generation of restorers.
Stay tuned, because we’ll be bringing you a list of the top ten cars that sold at the Audrain Auctions hosted by Bonhams Cars this weekend. But for now, you can check out the clip included below, which highlights some of the standout cars, ranging from vintage beauties to classic cars, muscle cars, and classic motorcycles, that made it to this year’s show field.
