In a celebration of the automotive festivities, Ferrari showcased a one-of-a-kind 812 Competizione at an exclusive event at Casa Ferrari during Monterey Car Week. This reveal, broadcasted live to the world, offered a glimpse into the limitless creativity and attention to detail embedded in the Prancing Horse’s DNA. As one of just 999 models in this limited and ultra-exclusive series, it’s designed for collectors and enthusiasts passionate about the thrilling twelve-cylinder that defines the brand. Marked by a commemorative plaque, it stands out as an icon due to its extraordinary inspiration.
Commissioned by Ferrari North America, this Tailor Made 812 Competizione is destined for a charity auction at the Ferrari Gala in New York City on October 17. The development process for this masterpiece took over a year of intensive collaboration between the Styling Centre and the Tailor Made team at Ferrari.
The 812 Competizione is imagined in matte Giallo Tristrato and matte Nero DS Sketch, paying homage to Maranello’s iconic design history. The interior echoes the same creative concept, featuring new-generation Alcantara, composed of 65 percent recycled polyester. Embellished with directly embroidered design sketches, this marks a departure from Ferrari’s traditional use of leather for such motifs. The finishing touch is the elegant black Superfabric used for the passenger compartment’s carpet and rear wall.
Dedicated to an exclusive circle of collectors and purists, the 812 Competizione leaves no room for compromise. The powertrain of the Ferrari 812 Competizione is nothing short of spectacular, housing a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine that generates an impressive 830 horsepower. This power allows the car to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.85 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 211 mph.
