This year’s Monterey Car Week marks a milestone for McLaren. Celebrating 60 years since its formation in 1963, McLaren is paying tribute to founder Bruce McLaren’s bold vision by unveiling its latest marvels, the McLaren 750S Spider and the exclusive Solus GT hypercar. The McLaren 750S Spider debuts with a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing an impressive 740 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Outperforming rivals, the 750S is lighter and faster, boasting 0-60mph in 2.7 seconds.
Making headlines as the ultimate expression of McLaren’s pioneering spirit is the Solus GT hypercar. Limited to just 25 units, the Solus GT features a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine, achieving 0-60mph in under 2.5 seconds. It recently clinched victory at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, underlining its extreme track capability. Joining these modern marvels will be iconic McLaren Racing cars from history, including Bruce McLaren’s 1966 M2B Formula 1 car and the legendary 1992 McLaren MP4-7A, driven by Ayrton Senna. McLaren’s CEO, Michael Leiters, will host a press conference during The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, where the first Solus GT will be delivered over to a very lucky client.
