This past Saturday, Iron Mike Tyson stopped for a moment under the portico of the Tideline Palm Beach Ocean Resort, scrunched his tattooed face into a golden-toothed smile, and gave just a little wink to a lovely thing sitting nearby, and then ambled into the hotel lobby.
it was a quiet moment of enthusiasm during duPont REGISTRY and Supercar Week’s first annual join Cars & Coffee. And that object of Iron Mike’s desire was not one of the many women walking the parking lot crowded with collector cars that ranged from a muscly 1968 Pontiac GTO to a 1991 Acura NSX. It was a near-perfect 1961 Jaguar XK120, with feminine curves that could catch the attention of even the most addled former heavyweight boxing champion.
This C&C was special not just for the cars and appearance of the champ, but because it was the soft launch of duPont REGISTRY’s Rally Club.
