Rodolfo Cosmi built the first of his semi-automatic shotguns in 1925. Since then, Cosmi SRL has been building the world’s most advanced luxury semi-automatic shotgun in their shop in Ancona, Italy. Each shotgun is a bespoke work of art, tailor fit to the shooter. Every Cosmi semi-automatic shotgun features over 100 parts that have all been hand fit by a master gunsmith. Each of those parts are also hand polished to create a spectacular finish. Only the finest woods are used in creating a mesmerizing stock, which has been completely carved and polished by hand. The process of creating one of these masterpieces takes more than 100 hours of skilled work.
A unique feature that sets Cosmi apart from other semi-automatic shotguns is that it’s a break action semi-automatic, that has a 7-round magazine tube that runs down into the stock. Housing the shells in the stock creates a magnificently balanced shotgun unlike any other. This was a primary goal of Rodolfo’s when designing the shotgun; creating a more aesthetic appearance while also achieving optimal balance.
Every Cosmi shotgun is designed to the end user’s specifications. To this point, every aspect of the shotgun may be customized. From length of pull to cheek weld, the customer’s specifications are used to create the ultimate fitting shotgun. Three premium grades of walnut are available to choose from when designing the stock. The steel receiver may also be upgraded to titanium, creating a lighter weight shotgun.
