A visit to the legendary salt flats.
Over the previous decades, there have been many records set at the Bonneville Salt Flats. It all started in the early 1900s when Teddy Tetzlaff set the very first land speed record at the location, hitting 142.8 mph in the 300 HP Benz nicknamed “Blitzen Benz 2.” After that, legends like Sir Malcolm Campbell and Ab Jenkins popularized the location. In fact, Sir Malcolm Campbell’s final land speed record was at the Bonneville Salt Flats and it was one for the record books. In 1935, he managed an average top speed of 301.337 mph, making him the first person to ever drive an automobile over 300 mph. Ferrari knows just how iconic this location is and decided to pay a visit to the salt flats. In the video up above, you’ll see a Ferrari SF90 Stradale Assetto Fiorano flying across the white grounds of the Bonneville Salt Flats and sliding gracefully around. The video also provides the lovely sounds of the SF90’s exhaust note.
