Two Ford GTs were part of a noteworthy auction.
GAA Auctions held its anticipated auction at Greensboro, North Carolina’s Automobile Palace in February, which included various collector cars, from classics to modern luxury and exotic cars. In addition, one of the most anticipated parts of the auction was its Bidder’s Choice Promotion, where bidders had the opportunity to bid on not only one but three examples of Ford’s legendary racing-derived supercar revival, the Ford GT.
A silver, red, and white example were offered, with the white car being one of only 200 made for the Canadian market. The highest bidder could choose from the three to own their dream Ford GT. The result showed that the highest bidder chose the example finished in Mark IV Red, with only 836 miles on its odometer, for $556,200. In addition, the runner-up chose the silver Ford GT, which sold for $540,000.
In addition to the Bidder’s Choice sale of two Ford GTs, the auction also raised $562,420 towards raising $20 million for ServeNC, a goal George and Megan Shinn set in partnership with N.C. Baptists to help rebuild regions affected by Hurricane Helene. With highly desirable collector cars crossing the block and a worthy cause, the GAA Auctions sale in Greensboro, North Carolina was an exciting event for automotive enthusiasts.
