Finished in a red and black color scheme with a Coca-Cola/Yokohama/Paradyne sponsor livery, this race car will be recognized by any motorsport enthusiast. Akin started his racing career in 1957 and ended it in 1987 with this very car. Even after multiple races, this 962 remains in almost perfect condition. There’s minimal wear, no damage to the race car, and looks like it was just created to race. After Akin retired, he eventually sold the car in 1991, and it changed hands four times and went under multiple restorations, keeping it in perfect condition. In fact, it went under a complete nut and bolt check, which required services that ended up totaling $19,122.72 according to the invoices.
