Gordon Murray Automotive brings its racing-focused supercar to Goodwood.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the world’s most anticipated annual automotive celebrations. It showcases automotive excellence of all kinds, but especially in motorsport, with manufacturers and drivers taking on the event’s iconic hillclimb. At this year’s event, one of the manufacturers will be Gordon Murray Automotive, heralded by the same Gordon Murray who penned some of the world’s greatest supercars, including the McLaren F1 and the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Gordon Murray Automotive will debut its new T.50s Niki Lauda prototype, bringing along the T.50 and T.33 supercars to be displayed at the Festival of Speed for the first time. A track-focused iteration of the T.50, the T.50s Niki Lauda prototype uses its incredible ‘fan car’ aerodynamics and a V12 engine capable of revving to over 12,000 rpm to deliver incredible performance in an ode to purist driver’s cars and motorsport heritage.
In addition to the supercar lineup of Gordon Murray Automotive, Gordon Murray is also set to display vehicles from his personal heritage collection, helping kick off his 60th-anniversary celebrations in 2025. Located at the Goodwood Road Racing Club, the collection features vehicles that chronicle important moments in Murray’s life and career, like his 1956 Maserati Motorbike, the 1967 IGM Ford, the 1974 Brabham BT44, the Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 ‘George’ test mule, and the 2020 GMA T.50. With a heritage of supercar excellence and a lineup of unique purist machines, Gordon Murray Automotive’s presence is set to be an important part of what makes this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed special.
