2019 Jaguar I-Pace Revealed: First Electric Jag SUV

The new 2019 Jaguar I-Pace has officially joined the English automaker’s line-up as their first electric SUV. The I-Pace comes in as the third SUV model, joining the ranks of the E-Pace and F-Pace. For this model, Jaguar put all their eggs into an electric basket and the result is their most technologically-advanced vehicle yet.

Powering the I-Pace is a 90kWh battery that has an estimated range of up to 240 miles. For power, the electric drivetrain produces 394 and 512 lb-ft of torque. A press on the accelerator will send all of this power to all wheels for a 0-60 mph time 4.5 seconds.

If you’ve spent all of the juice in the I-Pace, charging it back up is a quick task. Using a 100kW DC fast charger will allow for a 0-80% charge in 40 minutes. Those using a 230V AC wall box can expect a 0-80% charge in just over 10 hours. Jaguar has also equipped the I-Pace with regenerative braking, allowing the SUV to achieve optimum efficiency and range.

2018 Jaguar Project 8: Price, Specs, & Review

Being an electronic SUV, the I-Pace is fully loaded with new tech. For starters, it’s the first Jaguar to use the new Jaguar InControl® Touch Pro Duo™ that consists of 10-inch upper and 5.5-inch lower touchscreens.

It’s on these touchscreens that the driver can take advantage of new tech like the EV Navigation feature that will take topography, driving style and more to help optimize the vehicle’s range. Another fun feature is a new Amazon Alexa Skill that owners can use to access info in the Jaguar InControl Remote app from any Alexa-enabled device.

Pricing for the 2019 Jaguar I-Pace will be announced on March 6th.
