Jeep Unveils Wrangler Rubicon Recon

Julius Caesar was warned by the Roman Senate to stay North of the Rubicon River. In control of his 13th Leigon, he sent scouts ahead before the invasion. These soldiers needed to be quick across any territory, much like an agile 4WD. That’s why Jeep has unveiled the new Wrangler Rubicon Recon.

It makes use of the light & efficient 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder, along with an eTorque hybrid technology. Because eTorque is available at idle, the transfer case low-range is now 4.01.

Combined with Dana locking differentials, it allows the 33″ Falken Mud-Terrains to go anywhere. Steel bumpers, fender flares, and rock sliders are all standard equipment, with an MSRP of $43,380 for the 2-door, or $46,880 for the four-door.
