RWD Battle: Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2 vs Porsche GT3 RS

Porsche and Lamborghini are both subsidiaries of Volkswagen, but that is all these two have in common. We have seen recent footage proving that the GT3 RS is capable of embarrassing many, including Nissan’s GT-R. Our friends at GTBOARD.com had a suspicion that Porsche’s latest creation might be able to take on a rear-wheel drive Huracan, so in order to make sure it was a fair fight, they chose another rear-wheel drive example.

The Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2 has 580 cv (metric horsepower) and 397 lb-ft of torque from a mid-mounted 5.2L V10. In the most powerful naturally aspirated engine they have ever produced, Porsche’s 911 GT3 RS is rated at 500 hp and 338 lb-ft from a rear mounted 4.0L flat-six. Huracan’s power equates to 571 hp, so will that be enough to end the GT3’s winning streak?
