The new exhibit features the new Lamborghini Revuelto ‘Opera Unica’ and more.
Automobili Lamborghini, the legendary luxury sports car manufacturer, recently illuminated Art Basel Miami Beach 2023 with a breathtaking display, ‘Lamborghini: 60 Years of Artistry in Motion,’ celebrating the brand’s 60th anniversary as well as its latest futuristic creations. This event showcases a diverse collection of artworks, each piece reflecting the rich heritage and innovative spirit of Lamborghini.
The event’s highlight was the unveiling of the Revuelto ‘Opera Unica,’ a testament to Lamborghini’s commitment to combining high-performance automotive engineering with artistic expression. This unique vehicle embodies the brand’s forward-thinking ethos, showcasing its first-ever PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle) model in an artistic light, the Revuelto, which also stands as the most powerful production model Lamborghini has ever introduced.
The exhibition featured artworks commissioned from Lamborghini dealers across the Americas. These pieces varied from spray-painted canvases and custom sneakers to elaborate steel and bronze sculptures, each creatively encapsulating the essence of Lamborghini’s legacy. A customized digital slot machine also added a contemporary twist to the display.
Lamborghini’s top executives, including Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann, graced the exclusive opening night. They were joined by other key figures like Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Federico Foschini, Design Director Mitja Borkert, and Automobili Lamborghini America CEO Andrea Baldi. Winkelmann highlighted the challenge they presented to dealers in commissioning artworks that celebrate the brand’s storied history, emphasizing design as an art form at Art Basel Miami Beach.
The Revuelto ‘Opera Unica’ is a striking piece of art conceived by Centro Stile and realized under the Ad Personam team’s direction. This extraordinary vehicle features a hand-painted exterior transitioning from Viola Pasifae to Nero Helene, a meticulous process that took over 500 hours. Its asymmetrical design inside is an example Lamborghini’s ability to embrace the avant-garde. In addition to the Revuelto ‘Opera Unica,’ the exhibition included the Revuelto Experience gallery, designed to evoke an emotional response. This space captured the electrifying essence of Lamborghini’s future vision, combining light, video, and the iconic sound of the V12 engine, a cornerstone of the brand’s identity since its inception.
The ‘Lamborghini: 60 Years of Artistry in Motion’ exhibit is a public event, open from December 7 to 9 at The Gallery, 1330 18th Street, Miami Beach. This exhibition not only marks a significant milestone for Lamborghini but also reinforces its position at the forefront of automotive luxury and performance. As the brand celebrates six decades of innovation and excellence, Lamborghini continues to push boundaries, charting a course for the future of supercar design and technology.
