Lamborghini has once again joined hands with Dubai Police, marking a new chapter in their performance-driven partnership by delivering a Urus Performante super SUV as the newest addition to its fleet. This collaboration celebrated at the Dubai Airshow 2023, overlaps with Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary, highlighting its long-standing Italian craftsmanship and excellence.
The Urus Performante’s keys were handed over by Paolo Sartori, Regional Head of Automobili Lamborghini Middle East and Africa, to Major General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani, acting commander-in-chief of Dubai Police. The ceremony symbolized Lamborghini’s dedication to supporting public safety missions. Sartori expressed delight in continuing the alliance with Dubai Police, emphasizing the role of the Urus Performante in enhancing the city’s safety and security.
This high-performance Lamborghini SUV features a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 engine with 657 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. It’s tailored to meet the rigorous demands of police work, sprinting from 0 to 60mph in only 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 190mph. The Urus Performante’s journey to the Dubai Police fleet involved meticulous modifications, fitting it with the upgrades and safety requirements of the force.
The Urus Performante’s striking design features a classic green and white livery, accented with police logos and an innovative 360° LED light bar on the rear spoiler. The interior is equally impressive, equipped with a range of police essentials including an armored gun box, a fold-down message display, and even a defibrillator.
