Lamborghini kicks off an anniversary celebration in a winter wonderland.
This year, Lamborghini’s Polo Storico department, dedicated to celebrating and preserving the 60 years of Lamborghini’s rich history and revered supercar legacy, is celebrating its tenth anniversary. The manufacturer promised a year full of Polo Storico celebrations for the important anniversary, and it’s already been kicked off at this past weekend’s I.C.E. St Moritz.
The iconic event sees the world’s greatest supercars and luxury cars gather in one of the world’s most legendary ski destinations: St. Moritz. With the event set on a frozen lake, the dramatic winter landscape is a unique and captivating backdrop for unforgettable supercar action.
Lamborghini brought some of its greatest historical masterpieces to the event for a stunning display celebrating Polo Storico at the I.C.E. St. Moritz, like the Diablo SE30, whose signature “Lambo Thirty” purple paint color spurred the creation of an Ad Personam “Viola 30th” shade that is a popular choice for Lamborghinis today, as well as the Lamborghini Countach pace car known for its participation in the 1981 and 1982 Monaco Grand Prix, and a red Lamborghini Miura SV, a cherished example of one of the world’s most legendary and defining supercars.
The cars were displayed in unique ways, being paraded around the frozen lake and in the case of the Lamborghini Diablo SE30, lifted above the event on a crane. With a momentous start to the tenth-anniversary celebrations for Lamborghini Polo Storico, the year continues with Anantara Concours d’Elegance in Rome, an event dedicated to showcasing the splendor of Italian Classic cars, a perfect venue for Lamborghini’s Polo Storico excellence.
