Lamborghini reveals what lies beneath the new Temerario’s bodywork.
The new Lamborghini Temerario will succeed one of the most iconic models in Lamborghini’s lineup, the Huracán. It will also introduce a new plug-in hybrid powertrain in place of Lamborghini’s iconic naturally aspirated V10 as the powertrain for Lamborghini’s entry-level supercar. However, with over 900 horsepower from its combination of a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 and hybrid assist, the Lamborghini Temerario easily delivers on those fronts.
However, more than just the hybrid powertrain makes the new Lamborghini Temerario supercar special. In a new announcement, Lamborghini explores the Temereario’s engineering excellence, going beneath the bodywork to reveal the innovation behind the car’s chassis. To effectively handle the power of the robust hybrid powertrain, the chassis had to be created to withstand higher loads.
The result is a mixed-technology spaceframe chassis that combines rigidity with weight reduction, reducing the structural components by 50% and reducing the heat welds by 80%. The chassis’ stiffness is increased by 25% compared to the previous generation’s spaceframe, and the hybrid system is also well-integrated, combining the new Temerario’s incredible power with enviable dynamics. Along with the radical hybrid powertrain, the innovative chassis makes the new Temerario an incredible new supercar.
