Lamborghini’s new hybrid hero proves its big claims.
The Lamborghini Temerario has big shoes to fill, including replacing the Lamborghini Huracán, and the manufacturer’s two-decade legacy of V10-powered supercars. However, its 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine and plug-in hybrid system are bringing over 900 horsepower to the table, with clever engineering adding to its incredibly impressive spec sheet. Now, the Temerario has officially made its dynamic debut, being shown for the first time in action in Estoril, Portugal.
The debut was a gathering at Circuito do Estoril, bringing media, dealer partners, and clients to the track to take the Temerario for a spin for the first time, with the new hybrid entry-level supercar from Lamborghini driving hundreds of laps around the iconic circuit over the 15 days of the event. The Temerario’s incredible powertrain proved its immense power, while reaching an amazing rev limit of 10,000 rpm.
Living up to its high expectations, the Temerario was able to rocket from 0-60 in less than 2.7 seconds, while eclipsing 213 mph for its top speed. In addition, its increased downforce and aerodynamic efficiency compared to its predecessor made it a more effective performance machine on the track, while its hybrid powertrain allows it to be more efficient in general, and even operate on exclusively electric power. Showcasing its incredible performance and bleeding-edge innovation, the Lamborghini Temerario’s official dynamic debut was the perfect way to usher in a new era of hybrid performance for the cherished manufacturer.
